Stay like this forever

In front on me stood my aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends. The backyard was set up with Indian decor and lighting hanging above and around the small gazebo near the koi pond. My parents had recently installed a huge cover up that attached from my roof to huge fence. It had lights and flowers laced threw it and the fence was covered with flowers. I felt tears filling my eyes as I gazed at the perfect scenery.
"Do you like it baby?" Raj whispered lovingly into my ear. I turned around and he smiled at me.
"Hey! No crying." He said smiling the tears that fell from my eyes. I brought his head close to mine and kissed him. I rested my forehead against his and saw his smile growing.
"I love it." I whispered wrapping my arms around him and hugging him tightly. I was not expecting this, especially because my parents don't really like him!
"This is for your proper engagement." My dads voice said from behind me. I released my arms from Raj and wrapped them around my dad.
"Thank you papa." I said between my little cries.
"What about me?" My mom said sarcastically and I pulled her in for a hug. I hugged my parents for a good minute embracing all the happiness that was happening. As I pulled away from both of them my mom had tears streaming down her face and my dad was teary eyed. He walked over to Raj and whispered something to him. In an instant Raj went running into the house and disappeared. I had other things to worry about when my cousins, aunts, uncles, and best friends started crowding me and hitting me with thousands of questions. I finally freed myself from the crowd and sat down in a chair. Family was blocking my sight and it was very funny. Soon, people grew quiet and my parents came over and made a pathway through my family. I walked to the one end of the path they made and saw Raj on the other side standing with pride and joy.
"Oie! Get out here!" He yelled. One by one, his family started crowding around him. He strutted towards me and smiled when he reached me. My parents stood behind me and Raj stepped aside and his parents smiled at mine.
"Mom, dad, brothers, sisters, these are Meera's parents." Raj said introducing everyone. My dad stepped in front of me and smiled at them.
"Oie! Come on out!" My dad yelled. My three sisters popped through everyone and came running over to me. I hadn't seen them in years and was overjoyed when they came running into my arms. Tears of joy left my eyes as I embraced my older sisters. My dad introduced my family to Raj's and soon everyone mixed together forming the perfect crowd to get lost in. I pushed my way through and reached the door that lead into my house. I felt someone tap my shoulder and I spun around. I saw Raj's smirking sisters staring at me making me blush in embarrassment.
"So... We meet you in California and find out you guys are 'just friends,' " Divya says quoting just friends.
"We get a call two days ago to get over here because he's gonna propose?" Geeta finishes for her.
"I guess you guys made us realize we are in love." I said smiling and their smirks turned into emotional faces.
"Awe! Thank you!" Raina said flattered and Raj came around poking her on the head. He wrapped his arms around me and smiled down at me.
"You guys are so freaking cute!" Mohini squealed.
"Thank you." Raj said kissing my temple making me blush. They all squealed one more time before disappearing into the crowd of family. I turned around and wrapped my arms around Raj's neck. He placed his hands a bit above my waist and smiled at me.
"Thank you Raj." I said smiling at him.
"For what?" He said innocently.
"For everything" I said as tears pricked at the back of my eyes.
"I did it because I love you." He said leaning close to me. I closed the gap between us and kissed him passionately feeling the same sparks I felt when I kissed him for the very first time. I broke our kiss and wrapped my arms around his back and rested my head on his chest as he swayed to the soft music playing. He rested his chin on my head and kept his arms wrapped around me.
"Let's stay like this forever." He whispered and I felt myself turning pink and smiling.
"Yeah, just us." I said hugging him tighter and burying my face in his chest.
