He lept from roof top to roof top, cloaked in a complete black. The air whizzed by his eyes as he raced to meeting. He didn't want to be late this time.
As he raced he scanned his surroundings often, to ensure that he wasn't being followed. Below him the streets were alive, people bustled along the pavement, despite the late hour.
He jumped to the bottom of the alley, using different things attached to the walls to ease his way down. He landed on the surface with a light *Thunk*. His surroundings seemed to be bathed in black, as none of the street lamps' light seemed to reach past the entrance to the street beyond.
The buildings on either side seemed to tower over the concrete path between them, everything around him seemed to be covered in a layer of grime and dust. He looked around, as if searching for something in the eerily quiet alleyway. He spotted a person standing discreetly outside a large iron door, he perked up and began silently making his way to the door.
He ghosted around large piles of trash, and other useless items. He came up to the door, and paused for a quick second. The large man at the front of the door nodded respectfully at him before opening the door. The other one nodded back at him and quickly slipped though the door.
He looked around the warm pub, filled with warm smiles and hearty laughter. A trace of a smile danced across his face, before he started making his way to the back of the room. He looked around briefly before slipping through a hidden door at the back of the pub. As he made his way into the room 4 other figures looked up from their conversations and at the new arrival. All of them wore black cloaks like him except all of them had their hoods down exposing their heads.
The first one was a fuzzy, suit wearing, Bacca. The one right next to him was a Brown haired brown eyed Canadian. The one next to the Canadian was a sort of half fish half human hybrid, with orange fins and blue skin. The one right next to him was another brown haired male except he had dark red eyes.... err well eye seeing as the other was complacently covered by a low sweep of his dark brown hair, you could see a set of black and green head phones covering his ears.
The new arrival sighed and sat down, the door softly clicking shut behind him. The room was surprisingly well lit, and allowed all of them the perfect amount of light needed to see. The new comer pulled down his hood, elisitating gasps from the gathered males, the new person was a brown haired boy who always wore sunglasses no matter what. He smiled at them revealing pearly white teeth.
"Hey guys."
"Sky!" Exclaimed the red eyed one, as if his appearance was surprising.
Sky continued grinning like the Cheshire cat, as if their surprise was immensely enjoyable to him. He opened his arms, as if bowing without standing up from his seat. "The one and only."
The next one to speak was the Canadian "But your always late! How are you early this time?"
Sky wiggled his fingers at him, "Magic."
All of them laughed at Sky's antics, Sky just rolled his eyes under his heavily tinted sunglasses and chuckled along with them.
The aquatic creature, after somewhat quelling his giggles, asked Sky "No, but seriously. How?"
Sky rolled his eyes again, and sat back in his chair putting his feet up on the table and crossing his arms. "I left early." The whole room Oh'd and nodded their heads, clearly this bit of dialogue had come to a close.
A few minutes later another person came through the door. He, like the rest of them, wore a black cloak. And he, like Sky, consistently wore dark sunglasses. He had a goatee and black hair.
After another few minutes, the group began to get anxious.
"Seto is never late." one of them murmured, earning hushed grunts of approval.
"We can't start the meeting without them." Another said, staring at the door in expectation.
All of them were nearly startled out of their seats as two more people appeared behind them with a pop. The first one was a space man in a blue space suit, and a blue helmet with orange glass on the front. The second was a sort man dressed in dark sorcerer's robes with purple highlights sprinkled throughout. He seemed to be powering down a spell.
"Seto!" They all cheered, startling the short sorcerer.
"What?!!" He shouted briskly, his eyes wide with fear.
All of them, including the space man, laughed.
He narrowed his eyes at them, and sat down. Prompting the space man to quickly follow suit.
After the laughter had died down the room fell into an uncomfortable silence, none of them wishing to be the first to speak.
Sky cleared his throat breaking the silence, and prompting all of the eyes to draw themselves to him. He gave an uncomfortable smile and said "So.... how are all of you?" there were mummers of fine, and good that were passed around the room. He nodded and stood up and moved himself so that he was facing all of the gathered males "This isn't really my strong suit but.. ahh, I don't seem to have a choice." They squirmed in their seats. "This is the 3rd meeting like this, that we have had. But this time it's different, and I know all of you can feel it." He pointed at each of them in turn, he put his hand back behind his back and stiffened. "This time, it isn't a drill. Because this time, there really is a threat that only an army can take care of. This time, we..." He paused and shook his head "No, the entire race, needs the Sky army."
The room fell into a shocked silence, where even the quietest pin drop could have been herd. And the first one to quietly squeak out a few words, was the red eyed one "Is it...?"
"Yes Ty, it is them." Sky ran his hand through his hair.
The next one to speak up was the space man "Is there another...?"
"No Jason, there is no other way." He sighed and looked down at his feet, before looking back up at his shocked friends. He sighed again and rubbed his eyes "Look, ok, I wouldn't have called this meeting now if it wasn't something important." Some of them narrowed their eyes at him. "Seto," The sorcerer looked up as Sky pointed at him "Jason," The space man looked up "Ty," The red eyed male looked up "Husky" The Mudkip looked up "Mitch" The Canadian looked up "Jerome" The Bacca looked up " and Ian," The other sunglassed male looked up. "Your all my friends, and some of the best people I know. I wouldn't ever ask for another group of people to work with. So just please trust me when I say, there isn't any other way." The other looked around at each other and nodded. Sky grinned again, before clapping and rubbing his hands together. "Well lets get cracking!"
