It has been a long day, training with my recruits and doing various paperwork that was beginning to pile up in my office. Every-time I began to relax I would be called for something else; usually I would be annoyed but today, today I was grateful for the distractions. They kept me from thinking about my dream to much. And they kept me on my feet.
*Beep* *Beep* My watch beeped at me. I glanced at it "Shi--t" I was going to be late to the daily general's meeting. I looked around at the recruits practicing around me, "Hey guys is it alright if I go ahead and cut this training session short?"
"Um, ok?" Said one of them.
"Thanks, just be sure to get to the dinner hall on time and to your next session on time. Ok?"
"Yes Commander Sky, Sir." They saluted and I dismissed them with a wave of my hand before running to the meeting hall.

I burst through the double doors that lead into the meeting room, "Sorry I'm late."
"Again." Corrected Ty
"Yes Ty, again. This time I have a valid reason." I said sliding into my seat at the head of the table. "Is there anything that I missed this time?"
"No we only just got started." Stated Jason.
I sighed "Good, I do not want a repeat of last time." Everyone laughed at this comment, I waved "Go ahead and start, or continue. Which ever one you were doing." Ty nodded and stood, his face growing serious.
"I'm going first cause I have the most important and interesting news. In other-words whatever you have to say doesn't matter because of what I'm about to say." The light atmosphere of the meeting hall suddenly grew very serious in a matter of seconds. The residual laughter faded as everyone focused their attention to Ty. "The squids are planning something," some people began to complain, with cries of outrage but Ty shouted over their complaints and threw his hands up"QUIET! Wait! Let me explain first." Everyone shut their mouths, and with the exception of some grumbling, the room was once again silent. "Thank you. Some of Husky's coast-land scouting troops have been reporting unusual squid movements. And as we are unable to see farther than that, I cannot tell you what exactly they are doing. But I only brought this up because the reports that started coming in last week on Thursday, so exactly 7 days ago, they've stopped as of today at exactly 2am."
I furrowed my brow "What does that mean?"
"Sir; the squids are silent, and as far as we can tell, they aren't doing anything at all."
"So you mean that you haven't seen any squids at all since 2am?" He nodded I stood and slammed my hands on the table startling everyone, including Ty who jumped and whose pupils shrank to pinpricks. "Why didn't you come and get me as soon as you were aware of the situation?"
"Sir, the night and morning reports aren't given until at least 4am. And they aren't processed until at least 7am, and the only reason I know about this is because one of Huskies processors noticed something peculiar and brought it to the head of the report processors. Who then brought it to the attention of the Husky and me at around noon when we where eating lunch. We had to make sure that everything was accurate and formulate a reason as to why this was happening. And when we DID try and tell you, you weren't in your office. And you where not where the note in your office said you would be." By the end of Ty's rant he sounded fairly annoyed.
"Oh sorry." I said my cheeks heating a little, "I didn't realize that." My nightmare had been last night, I realized before sitting down more than a little shaken up.
