Emily fell asleep after a couple minutes, and when she woke up, she felt as if she had transported to a completely different world. They were no longer among trees. They were in a barren land. The sun was high in the sky, beating mercilessly down on them.

"Are we almost there?" she asked.

"Yup," said Kakashi. "In fact, it's right up ahead."

Emily looked where he was pointing and was glad to see that they did not have too far to go.

"Good, I'm exhausted," said Emily.

"YOU'RE tired?!" Naruto growled. "You've been sleeping this entire time!"

"Simmer down, we're almost there," said Kakashi. "Quit bickering."

"Do we know where in the Sand Village we are looking?" asked Sakura. "How will we know where we're going once we get there? What if we get separated?"

"Hold your horses," said Kakashi. "The first thing shinobi must do when entering another Village is speak to the kage. The kazekage, Rasa, will want to speak to us."

Sarah had just done some Google-searching, and had come across a Wikipedia page that said that Rasa was Gaara's father, so even though she is not entirely sure that it is true, she is going to go with it and pass this information to Emily.

"OMG, that's Gaara's father!" cried Emily.

"What? Who's Gaara?" asked Naruto.

"Oh, no one."

"Please all try to behave in there," said Kakashi. "Naruto, I'm speaking to you."

"Hey!" cried Naruto.

Emily laughed.

"And try not to embarrass us all," added Kakashi. "Emily, I'm speaking to you on that one."

Emily stopped laughing.

Naruto snickered.

All of a sudden, there was a chuckle behind them. They spun around to find a strange-looking man with bright red hair.

"Who are you?" Naruto shouted.

"Me?" said the man. "I'm the plot. Sarah wrote me in here to get things moving."

It was true. Sarah had realized that she was not sure where things were going, so she had decided to take the lazy route and throw in a character.

"Oh, no," Kakashi groaned. "Don't tell me you're here to create a side story or something."

"Sarah has something up her sleeve," said the man. "Meanwhile, I'll be taking the girl."

Emily vanished from Kakashi's back, as did the man with the weird hair.

"That Sarah," said Kakashi. "She is so beautiful, and I am going to marry her one day."

Okay, he didn't actually say that...

Meanwhile, Emily found herself on the filthy ground in a dimly-lit cave. The man with the bright red hair was standing over her.

"How did we get here?" Emily asked.

"How should I know?" the man shrugged. "Your sister is the one who made up some sort of jutsu to get us here. Don't ask me."

Emily sighed. Sarah could be pretty lazy sometimes.

"So, uh... do I fight you or something?" asked Emily.

"No. Sarah will send someone to kill me off and save you."

"Oh. That's pretty sad."

"Yeah, well she didn't even give me a name, either."

"Sarah!'

Sorry.

All of a sudden, there was a loud rumbling sound, and sand blew everywhere. Emily covered her face and ducked.

"Sand coffin!" a voice rasped.

There was a scream.

When she opened her eyes again, the man was gone. Instead, there was a pile of sand before her.

"Poor guy," she said. "He never had a chance with no name."

"Hey," came a voice. "State your name."

Emily turned around to find the Sand Siblings before her.

"You heard me," said Kankuro. "State your name!"

"OMG! Kankuro! Temari! Gaara!" Emily squealed, running toward them a few paces. "I'm Emily!"

"How do you--?" began Temari. Then she seemed to realize something. "Oh, are you the girl the Leaf Village sent?"

"Yeah!" said Emily.

"Of course it had to be a girl," sighed Kankuro. "The girls are always crazy."

Emily took her chance to run forward and give Gaara a hug.

"OMG I love you!" she cried. But before she could reach him, a pillar of sand shot out from Gaara's gourd and blocked her.

"Stand back," Gaara said hoarsely.

"See what I mean?" said Kankuro. "She's lucky Gaara didn't kill her!"

"Yeah, let's leave Gaara alone," Temari said nervously, pulling Emily back. "Sorry, Gaara."

Gaara only stared blankly at them.

What a zombie.

"But I want to give him a hug," said Emily.

"Well, I'm sure you would like to live as well?" Temari asked. "Cuz you'll have to pick one or the other."

"Hey, where's the rest of your team?" asked Kankuro. "The Leaf Village usually sends a team of three or four to assist the soul-seeker."

"Yeah!" said Emily. "I'm with Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. We got split up."

"If you promise not to do anything else as stupid as trying to hug Gaara, we can help you find your team," said Temari.

"Okay," said Emily.

The four of them made their way out of the cave, and the chapter came to a rushed end because Emily of the Present wouldn't stop nagging Sarah about updating.

Your welcome, Emily.
