A Visit to the Naruto World

Chapter Fifteen: Final Goodbyes

"I will take you back home now, Emily," said the Anime genie, coming down to eye level.

"Oh, okay," said Emily. "But I can't go yet! I have to say goodbye to everyone!"

"Oh, for crying out loud," growled the genie. "They always have to say goodbye to everyone, and it always takes hours!"

"So... this is goodbye?" said Naruto. He looked so sad that Emily's own sadness combined with his and her heart felt as if it had shattered to a million pieces.

"Bye, my baby Naruto!" Emily sobbed, giving Naruto a tight hug.

"Hey!" Naruto cried. "Let go, crazy girl!"

"You are a sweet baby angel sent from Heaven!" Emily weeped. "No one deserves to be in your presence! Your parents would be so proud of you! Minato and Kushina would have been perfect parents and they would have loved you and taken care you and you would have been the perfect family..."

Emily continued, and the deafening bleep echoed through everyone's ears. Everybody present plugged their ears. A crowd gathered around them, trying to find the source of the ringing sound.

"Oops," said Emily. "Sorry."

"Ridiculous," said Neji, who had just arrived.

"OMG, you're all here to say goodbye!" Emily gasped, seeing that all the main characters had arrived.

"No, we're here because you almost blasted our ears out with that ringing," Ino scowled.

"Either way, you're here," said Emily. "No one leave until I tell you goodbye!"

"Oh, good grief," said Neji.

"You first, Neji," said Emily. She gave him a much disapproved-of hug. "Bye, Neji. Don't forsake your love for Tenten. Get married, have babies, and don't die."

"What?" Neji scowled.

But Emily had turned toward Tenten, who was watching and giggling.

"Bye, Tenten," said Emily, giving her a hug. "Be sure to love and protect Neji. You are one of my favorite female character in the first series."

"What, really?" said Tenten, blushing slightly, though she wasn't sure what Emily meant by "series." "Uh... thanks, I guess."

"Bye, Lee," Emily continued. She was hesitant to hug him. Instead, Lee knelt down and kissed her hand, just as he had done in their first meeting.

"Goodbye, Emily," he said. "May you fare well in the journey ahead of you, and may your blossom forever bloom. I do hope we will see each other again someday."

"Don't say that!" the Anime Genie cried. "She'd better not be back here for a long time!"

"Goodbye, Guy," said Emily, keeping her distance. "Maybe try going without the jumpsuit for a while."

"What?" said Guy. "What's wrong with the suit?"

"Everything."

Emily moved on to the next person, while Guy examined his attire.

"Bye, Ino," said Emily. "You can be kind of annoying sometimes. But I love your hair. It's so fab. And InoShikaCho wouldn't exist without you,"

Ino was at a loss for words. But as Emily turned to say goodbye to Choji, Ino flipped her bangs and ran her fingers through her hair proudly.

"Bye, Choji," said Emily, giving Choji a hug. "Thanks for sharing your food with me."

"You bet," said Choji. He held out the bag of chips in his hand. "Hungry?"
