"Brandon, I believe we need to reconsider on bringing those tools. We don't need them for this mission." Kim said to a man toting a box.
"Hey, you never know if who need them. I've come to learn to expect the unexpected."
"Okay. I get that but still, why do we have to bring so many?"
"Morales said to bring extra supplies in case they don't have any spares."
Brandon walks inside the door of a luxurious house. When the door closed, a car pulled to the driveway nearby. Lauryn stepped out.
"Oh, Ms. Veracruz. You made it not a moment too soon."
"Is it okay to assume that this trip won't last for more than a few days?" She asked.
"It shouldn't last more than just a day or two, three - worst case scenario. Did I tell you that my fiancé is coming along?"
"Yes. You told me that he was piloting. We're leaving on a jet?"
"Oh no. The jet is out of commission. I had to tell Morales. Instead of giving us a new jet, he gave us a helicopter. I personally think it gives it class. Plus, it has more storage than any of the jets available."
Brandon opened the door and walked outside. "The helicopter is ready for take off. I will commence in ten minutes." He returned inside.
"So, Lauryn, how are you feeling about this trip?"
"You still never told me why you wanted me to come."
"Oh. So I was assigned to do research over in the lambda region near a Corporation lab in southern Mexico. Morales granted me access to the facility so I can do a research transfer to the main system here in Mexico City."
"What information do you need to transfer?"
"The life of huge anteaters. You see, years ago, the facility was the home of the breeding experiments. When the breeding sector was added to the main lab, they tried to transfer some giant anteaters but some escaped. Instead of trying to retrieve them, they left them there to see how the ecosystem would prosper with a new animal. I have been told that some worker from the corporation is there. But he has no means of transporting the data back. That's my mission: to get his research of the giant anteaters and to get him back home."
"Now that I know what I got myself into, might as well go."
"Alright." Kim cupped her and shouted, "We're coming." She darted inside. Lauryn followed behind.
"I still don't see why she needed me." She murmured as the door shut.
