A van drove up in a driveway. A man stepped out and headed the house. He knocked on the door. A woman, Lauryn, opened the door to greet her father.
"Hey Dad. Glad you came to see me."
"I know. It's been so long since I got to see you. I went to America to check out how that branch was working. Anyways, I like what you've done."
"I had to redecorate for you. Not really, but some people came over and I had to organize afterwards." He sat down and drank a cup of water.
"I considered on going on an expedition with one of my coworkers within the next three weeks. I'm telling you so that can you can keep the place tidy in my absence."
"Darling, are you sure you can make it? I mean, you haven't been particularly nice to anyone who's not family since the... incident. I mean it would help with your condition and boost your morale. I would go with you just to keep you from doing something irrational."
"Dad, I'm fine. I can do some self-control. Besides, there'll be two other people. I believe I can handle my nerves. Besides, it's not like I'll go delirious or anything. I'm not that bad. She wants me to go so I can give her advice on her task. I'm not sure how long it will last but I should stay calm for the journey. Also, you can give me calming tips for the next few weeks anyway. I'm confident that I can handle myself but it is nice to take some precautions."
"True. I just want you to be sane. The last thing I need is to have my daughter go crazy. I'll make you feel like your old self, at least somewhat. I will keep your home mannered while you're gone.I'm glad you're going."
"Me too; ... in a way. Let's hope what I keep saying holds true."
