The Two Brawlers

Chapter 3

Hey guys, sorry for the late post, I was at my dad's and his computer wasn't working, but now I'm at my grandma's with a working computer so here, my dear readers, is chapter three of The Two Brawlers.

P.O.V. Carolina

Today is gonna be my first day at a new school full of new people I've never met before.....dear god this is gonna suck. Why did I have to get bumped up two years and leave Signal? All of my friends are there, I don't even have my brother to help me out 'cause he had to go and leave me all those years ago. 

Carolina: *whispers* Just a normal girl, with normal knees.

The airship finally lands at Beacon and I follow all the students off the ship to go to orientation when I see a group of students, two of which that look like Ruby and her Blue opposite. I start walking down the ramp when I'm suddenly frozen in my tracks as I see a wolf faunas  with blue hair staring at me. I don't know who he is for sure, but for some reason he looks like someone I should know....someone I've always known.

P.O.V. Jason

She just kept standing there staring at me. She hasn't moved from that spot. What was she thinking?

Jason: *In thought* Does she even remember me? It's been so long I wouldn't expect her to. Then why does she just keep standing there?

After about a good two minutes of just standing there we both started walking towards each other, never breaking our interlocked gaze. We finally came face to face, the other first year students going around us and Yang, Ruby and their friends, and Weiss came up behind me. 

Yang: Um..Epsilon? Do you know her?

I didn't acknowledge what Yang said and just kept staring at the younger red haired girl in front of me.

Jason: Caro---Annabelle?

Carolina: J-Jason?

Nothing else was said, all she did was just rush forwards to hug me and tightly wrapped her arms around me. All I could do in response was just gently pat her head.

Jason: Hey kiddo, it's been a while

Carolina: Too long

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes, she still has that same adorable stare that she had when I left her all those years ago.

Carolina: *sniffle* It's been so long since I last saw you. I thought you were dead. Why didn't you come visit me? Why didn't you come for me?

She buried her face in my chest and just started crying into my hoodie. I wrapped my arms around her to try and calm her down.

Jason: I'm sorry kiddo. I was afraid, afraid to back. I watched mom die right in front of me. I was so horrified and angry that I couldn't save her. Once I dropped you off somewhere to be safe I just started running until I found somewhere I could get stronger so I wouldn't have to fail again. But as time went on I thought you'd forgotten about me so I thought it would be best if I just stayed away.

Carolina didn't reply to what I said, she just kept crying into my chest until she finally looked up at me and raised her arms up for me to carry her. I smiled and picked up my adorable little sister as she snuggled up to me, about to doze off.

Carolina: I missed you Jason

Jason: I missed you too Annabelle

Then she just fell asleep in my arms and I heard a group of people behind me all in unison just say "Awwww..." I turned around to see Yang, Ruby, Sapphire and the rest of Team RWBY just standing behind me all looking like they're about to cry; for some reason not Sapphire though, he just stood there in silence while Ruby was clinging to him trying not to cry. Then Yang came up to me and kissed my cheek.
