The Two Brawlers

Chapter 7: Mountain Glenn Part 1

P.O.V. Jason

So today is the day we start our first mission as huntsman and huntresses. My team along with team RWBY will be going on a reconnaissance mission to Mountain Glenn to look for a hidden White Fang base, well at least I think we are.

Ruby: Not open to second year students?! What?!

Jason: Maybe there's just too much Grimm in the area that the system doesn't think the average team of second years can handle it.

Jade, Annabelle, and RWBY: Who you calling average!

Jason: *a bit scared* C-come on guys you know that's not what I meant. 

Ozpin: Is there a problem here Mr. Argonaut?

Jason: Whoa Oz where did you come from?! I uh I mean the computer says we're not qualified to take on the Mountain Glenn mission. We think there's been some mistake.

Ozpin: No there's no mistake. But I don't think it matters what I say, seeing as you'll all probably go sneak off and go to Mountain Glenn anyways. So instead of waiting for the rules to be broken....why don't we just bend them shall we?

And just like that Ozpin pushed a couple buttons on his scroll then the computer said we were clear to go on our mission.

Ozpin: I just hope that you all are prepared for what possibly awaits for you on your mission. I wish you all luck. The rest of you make your way to your ship *raises up glasses* I must speak to Mr. Argonaut in private.

And with that Yang kissed me on the cheek then her and the others made their way out to the ship ready to leave for Mountain Glenn.

Jason: Oz it's actually a good thing you needed to talk to me because I have a message from my father that I need to give you but there has just been no time to speak with you alone---

Ozpin: Let me stop you there Epsilon. I need to inform you that you won't be going on the same mission as the rest of your team and other classmates. Yes you will still be going to Mountain Glenn, but your mission is a bit more complicated than the others' mission. 

Jason: And what exactly do you mean by that Oz?

Ozpin: Epsilon let me be straight with you, I believe you are one of the strongest fighters here at Beacon if not the strongest so I would not be assigning you this mission if I did not think you were up to the task.

Jason: Oz just tell me what you need me to do.

Ozpin: We have received information of a young huntsman about your age that we have seen associated with the White Fang. We have found that he is incredibly skilled and incredibly dangerous.

Jason: Okay.... why are you telling me this?

Ozpin: Well Mr. Argonaut your mission is to find him, and do whatever it takes to recruit him.

Jason: What?! You want me to try and recruit the psycho?!  Ozpin are you crazy?

Ozpin: Epsilon please, he is an amazing fighter like yourself and we could use someone like him on our side.

Jason: And why can't my team take on this task along with me?

Ozpin: I have made a lot of mistakes in my life, I would not like the loss of four innocent lives to be one of them. I know how much you care for your team and that you will lay your own life on the line to protect them. That is why I'm sending you on this solo mission so you do not need to worry about protecting anyone from this dangerous young man.

Jason: I understand Professor, I will complete this mission on my own as instructed.

Ozpin: Thank you Epsilon, I will send you information on your target as you reach Mountain Glenn. You should be getting to your team now.
