I laughed as I walked towards the Mystery Shack. We had just seen the woods woman, a 'demon' in the journal. Turns out she was just an angry old lady trying to scare away the people from her farm, as she had been robbed in the past.

Anyways, on the way back, Gid told me he was going to hang out with some other friends, so I was left in the Shack alone, bored, waiting for something exciting.

"Hey, Pacifica."

I spun round on my heel lightning fast, only to find Damien standing there grinning, his hands buried deep in his pockets. He started towards me, as I smiled. "Hey Damien."

"How's things, Paz?" He asked, coming to sit next to me on the other arm of the couch. I smiled. Even though things didn't go quite as planned with our night, I still loved to hang around with him. I sighed, and brushed a bit of my fringe out of my face with my hand, revealing a long purple mark I had obtained during an adventure.

"Ouch." He remarked. "You wanna do something?"

A thought popped into my head. Did I trust Damien? I mean, trust him enough to show him? Of course I trust him, I assured myself, he'd take a bullet for you.

"Come with me." I urged, getting up and leading him up the creaking staircase to my bedroom. "As much as everyone loves to use my window, you have to go through the door this time."

I giggled, as Damien tilted his head. "Who else uses your window then?"

"Ummm..." I paused, not wanting to tell him about Dipper, yet. "No one!" I quickly attempted to change the subject, reaching for my top drawer and pulling it open, revealing the journal safely inside of it, the '3' in the middle, printed on the hand still clear and bold. I carefully picked it up, blowing the dust off of it.

"This," I announced. "Is a journal. I have no idea who wrote it. I found it in the woods, and it contains all sorts of weird and wonderful findings here in the falls. Only you, me and Gid know about it, so tell anyone and there's trouble."

He nodded solemnly and slowly opened the cover of the book, me still keeping it safely in my arms, as he marvelled, open-mouthed, at the wondrous creatures that lie within its old, torn pages.

We decided to go out and look for a creature known as the 'hide-behind'. And, you guessed it, it hides behind things!

We set off on our adventure, not aware of the jealously boiling within another boy.

One by the name of Dipper Gleeful.
