It was a lot bigger than I would have expected, and far less... abandoned, too. It almost looked as though somebody had just left, without taking any other worldly possessions - bar clothes - with them. It was an odd feeling, almost like we were intruding in a family's house, when they had just left to go grocery shopping or something. However, Dipper's hand holding mine was all the assurance I needed that staying here would be lovely.

"You liking what you're seeing, Princess? I think it's pretty neat, myself."

Dip had been levitating our stuff into the house, and there was a gentle clutter of our bags gently touching the ground beside us as he spoke.

"It seems pretty cute. But it's almost like people still live here or something." I couldn't help but give a cautionary glance around the place, just to check that there was, indeed, nobody there.

Dipper laughed. "I can assure you, nobody does. I would be the first to know."

I raised a suspecting eyebrow. "Oh, how so? Do enlighten me."

There was a jingle of metal on metal as he grinned, removing his hand from his pocket, and holding out a bunch of keys. "Because it's mine."

I felt my chin drop slightly, in pure, dumbfounded shock. I stared at the boy standing beside me in disbelief, unable to comprehend how he had managed such a thing. "You bought this house? Like, when? How? Why?"

"Before my 'surprise', with money, and because," He smiled, a finger under my chin, tilting it upwards, towards his face. "I love you, Pacifica Southeast. More than anything."

My mouth curved into a small smile. "I love you more."

Before I knew it, he slipped the keys back into his pocket, and his hand drifted to my hip, pulling me closer to his warm, chiseled chest. Looking up at him, I could see every detail of his beautiful face. From his cheekbones, to his soft, loving lips, to the tiny freckles, scattered across his nose, aligning like constellations in a gorgeous night sky.

My gaze slowly trailed up to meet his, and a light blush coloured my cheeks, as I realised that he was looking for my eyes the whole time, waiting patiently for them to meet his own. He studied them with a gentle expression, soaking up every detail, like he was going to somehow get lost in their ocean blue pupils, and stay floating there, forever. We stayed like that for a moment, savouring the tiny distance between our lips, appreciating that perfect almost, before it became a perfect always.

His eyes trailed from mine, to my lips, as I bit the bottom softly, from anticipation. He smiled softly, a hand reaching up to caress my cheek, thumb gliding slowly over the bone, as he leaned in, and closed that sacred gap.

I had almost forgotten how warm his lips felt when they were pressed against mine, and how gentle, but demanding. It seemed to knock all the air out of my lungs, and fill my mind with nothing but Dipper. The entire world seemed to fall away, and nothing but us ever existed. I hardly noticed until it cascaded over my shoulders that one of his hands snaked into my hair, and pulled it free from it's messy ponytail. His other hand rested on the small of my back, holding me so close, so tightly, like he would lose me if he let go for even a moment. In that moment, I understood why I ran.

The upstairs was nice. It was fully furnished: the two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a beautiful little balcony, which overlooked the beach. I decided to officially take ownership of the room with the balcony, because who doesn't love a balcony?

I lugged my things into the room, as Dipper was off 'cooking' - if you can call using magic to make dinner 'cooking'. The rooms themselves were quite small, but made up for it with charming furniture and things like that. A small wardrobe and chest of drawers stood against the far wall of this one. Having a closer look at it now, there was something attached to the left door of the wardrobe. With a raise of my eyebrow, I walked over to the oak wardrobe, and realised it was a small sheet of paper, stuck to the door with a little bit of tape. Gently, I took the note, and began to read.

'I knew you'd choose this room. Take a look inside the wardrobe at my other little surprise for you, then come downstairs for the finest cuisine you've ever tasted, for the finest girl I've ever met.

- Dip."

I couldn't help but smile, and blush a little at the note. I folded it in half and slipped it into my pocket, ensuring that I had two spare hands to swing open the doors of the beautiful hardwood wardrobe.

Inside was the most beautiful emerald dress I had ever seen. It was a tiny thing really, and it would come down to about halfway down my thigh, but it didn't show too much skin. It looked like a two-piece for a moment, but upon running my fingers over it, it had a waistband of lace, almost translucent though. It wasn't what I would usually wear, but it was beautiful enough for me to not be able to resist. I took the dress into my hands, gently, and smiled. Could this day get any better?
