My heart was pumping. I stared at the man in front of me with wide eyes. Fear coursed through my veins as the man looked down at me. My fast and heavy breathing was burning my throat, making it dry and my eyes slightly water.
"Scarlet, are you okay?" The curly haired guy asked quietly and softly.
That's it, it was the edginess of the voice that threw me off.
Why couldn't he learn to leave me alone?
"Go away"
"I'm not going to hurt you"
He took was step towards me only for me to shuffle back until my back hit the bathtub.
"Scarlet, I promise you, you're safe with me" his voice was quiet.
I shook my head vigorously, not taking my eyes off of him. My head was spinning and my heart was pumping, I honestly felt as if I was going to pass out. This was too much for me to take in.
I watched as he took another step towards me, I couldn't move anymore. He crouched down getting to my height, but still being taller.
"I'm Ashton" he whispered.
I just looked at him, my chest was still heaving and my head was throbbing in pain.
His hazel eyes held concern, it terrified me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
I didn't speak or move, I just stared at him. My body wouldn't comply, my mind was yelling to run, to move away from him, but my body just did not listen. I slightly nodded my head, afraid what's to come if I don't reply to him.
"So is that a nod of you're okay or you're not okay?" His face broke into a smile.
I found myself intensely staring at him, my heaving chest slowly began to calm down leaving me with steady breathing, but the throbbing pain in my head was still there.
Ashton's warm hand made contact with the skin on my upper arm making me flinch away, keeping to myself.
"Crap, Scarlet you're freezing"
I remained quiet, all I could think about is the pain in my head.
I looked up at him, feeling my vision getting blurry. I rubbed my eyes trying to regain vision, that was until everything went black.
