"so what brings you out here at this time Isabelle?"

"I just couldn't fall asleep, and you?"

"same" he said while smiling brightly, his eyes said other wise

"I'm not buying that" Ashton gave me a puzzled look. "that's not why you're here... whatever floats your boat though"

"you, me and the sunset somewhere special will definitely float my boat" he said with a smirk

"not even in your wildest dreams Irwin"

"if your dreams don't seem impossible, then they're not big enough Windsor"

" see the difference is that I'm stating it's impossible, there's no hope in that" I shot back

Ashton smiled while shaking his head. his dimples dug deep into his cheeks, it was hard not to stare at him when he smiled but I resisted the voice in my head telling me to look at him for longer. we sat there in silence, me looking up at the sky and him, well he was looking at the ground.

"that's enough for me, I'm heading back home. I'll see you tomorrow" I gave him a pat on the back and stood up. he stood up as well.

"okay so you're going to think I'm completely insane and all but, I really don't know the way home. mind helping out?" he finally said after a mini staring competition

" is this your slick way of spending more time with me" I asked while raising an eyebrow and smirking.

"absolutely" the hint of sarcasm in his voice was very much obvious

" you're Luke's neighbor correct?" he nodded his head in reply.

we didn't talk much in the walk home, he asked me how far I lived away from Luke which I replied with the heavily overused 'I don't tell strangers' statement.

midway through walking him home I realized the echoing sound of my shoelaces hitting onto the ground. I looked down at my shoes and rolled my eyes, I hated tying my shoelaces and always ended up ignoring them till I tripped over them.

"I'll get that" Ashton was on his knees in no time, before I can try acting polite and decline his offer.

after he finished he got up and smiled at me "thanks for that" I said after exchanging a smile.

"no problem" he put his hands in his pockets and started walking. even though he wasn't walking quickly, I had to jog to catch up with him, walking beside a tall person isn't the greatest choice but I've grown to get used to it.
