The next morning I woke up and got myself ready for school. I slipped into ripped black skinny jeans, a crop top, and a denim jacket on top.

brushing my hair, I checked the time on my phone. waking up a bit later than usual made missing the bus to school on the verge.

I was about to head out my room then I remembered, I have an essay to print out. I mentally cursed myself out for not getting it done last night.

I opened my laptop and continued writing the conclusion of my essay, which didn't even take a minute of my time. I clicked the print symbol and went into the office room we had down the hall. a few moments later I was rushing down the street with the stapled paper in my hand and book bag almost falling off my shoulder.

the last thing I would want on a school morning is to miss the bus. if only my mom hadn't taken the morning shift at the pharmacy.

puzzled would be the word to describe how I felt when I reached the bus stop. correct, it was the first day of school but never did I imagine the deserted bus I took every once in a while would be filled with students.

"sorry kid, the bus is full" Jim said offering me a smile.

"oh come on Jim, I don't have a ride. you know what happened last time you didn't come." I implored him for the next minute but he refused to allow me into a full bus. there were no empty seats and allowing a student into a full bus was unacceptable to our school.

the bus made it's way down the road, leaving me utterly helpless.

"well if it wasn't for Isabelle helplessly trying to find a way to get to school." Ashton.

I turned to catch a glimpse of his face just to make sure it was him before looking back at the road.

"You know last time I was late, I went to a record shop and stayed there the whole day. they called my parents, and well let's just say they weren't too happy with that."

completely ignoring the point of my story, ashton asked " you're into music?"

"very"

"what artists do you listen to?" he questioned

"I don't tell people what bands or singers I listen to Irwin"

"and why's that?"

" so they remain special to me. they can't become anyone's favorite."

ashton snorted "why would your taste be anyone's favorite"

"I'm completely fine with you not liking my taste in music, you wouldn't be the first" i said carelessly
