This is terrible. I'm terrible. I'm so glad we had this discussion

"Why do you always act like you're better than everyone else!?" The female Navi yelled. The Navi on the receiving end of her tongue stood firm and unmoved by her ferocity.
"Well? Are you gonna answer or just stand there like an oaf!?"

"I don't think I'm better than everyone else, I know I'm better" he responded coolly. This really tucked the smaller Navi off.
"No you aren't! You're just like every other Navi, if anything it should be Megaman who acts this way! But since he's a decent person, he doesn't!" Protoman couldn't help but smile at how adorable Roll looked when she was angry. Her cheeks puffed up and her fists would clench tightly. He could tell she was trying her best to look intimidating, and to the right Navi, she would be. But to him she was just cute.
Protoman placed his hand on top of Rolls head and gave it a quick pet.
"Whatever" he replied before warping away. Roll stood there stunned for a few moments, a faint blush tinging her cheeks. Did he really just do that!? That piece of shit! Roll did have to admit though, she kind of enjoyed the feeling. It was a different feeling. Not bad but also not good. Just, different. It made her feel all warm and tingly inside. And the fact that such an intimate action came from Protomam just made all the stranger. What was his motive behind it? Was there an ulterior motive? Or did he just do it to make her shut up? It was always hard to tell what Protoman meant by certain things, he was a fairly mysterious Navi. He always preferred to keep to himself.

Roll finally snapped out of her daze, her anger toward Protoman returning. There wasn't any meaning behind his kind and gentle touch, he just did it to confuse her and make her shut up! Roll had to find him. She was determined to. But why? She didn't entirely know, maybe it was to let out all of her rage at him or maybe it was to call him out in his gesture. And in the back of her mind a voice called saying that it may be because she wants to see him again. And secretly, she sort of did. But she'd never admit to that, not to some random stranger or even her closest an most trusted friend. Not even to her NetOp. No, this had to stay her little secret.

Unfortunately, Roll never realized how hard Protoman would be to find. How? He was such a big deal. Every Navi has at least heard if Protoman, he's fairly famous for his NetBattling skills. She asked around Net City but no one had seen him. Of course she ran into a few fangirls, who began to blush madly at the mention of the red Navi.

"Ugh! I'm never gonna find him" Roll admitted in defeat, crossing her arms and puffing her cheeks in frustration.

"Find who?" Roll jumped at the sudden and unexpected presence of another Navi. She turned and saw a female Navi with long, sleek, black hair and purple bangs covering one eyes.

"I'm looking for a friend of mine, he's got red armour and long silver hair and-"

"I saw a Navi like that not too long ago." The woman Navi interrupted, "he was heading toward the Undernet. I could take you there if you want?" Roll wasn't sure of how to react to the strangers gesture, but she gave the woman Navi the benefit of the doubt and agreed to her proposal.
"Great, let's go" the woman began to run off, Roll quickly chasing after her.

The duo arrived in the Undernet in a short amount of time.
"This is where you saw him?" Roll asked, scanning the area she was in. It seemed very out of the way and empty, her and the woman Navi were probably the only people within a 50 mile radius.
"Listen kid, I'm a nice person so I'll be honest, I didn't see your little boyfriend here"

"What? Then why'd you say you did!?" Roll demanded, slightly flustered at how this stranger called Protoman her boyfriend. She didn't like him!

"You look like a Navi who's got some goods on you, and if not, I'm sure your NetOp would pay hands only to have you returned to them safely" the woman smirked, a sinister tone in her giggling.
"Wh-what d-do you m-mean?" Rolls body began to shiver with fear.
"It means, I'm kidnapping you idiot" she growled before lunging at Roll, knocking the smaller Navi out.

Fighting was the first thing that she heard. It sounded as if an epic battle were going right beside her. And, surprisingly, there was. She turned her head slightly and saw blurs of red and silver along with blurs of black and purple, which was the colour scheme of the female Navi she met.

Her ears were ringing and her vision blurry, but even through all that she knew who the other Navi was. The only thing she didn't understand was why he was there, or how he even knew where to find her.

The battle waged on for a while more, Rolls vision eventually clearing enough to 100% confirm that it was Protoman. He eventually sent the woman Navi packing, her body almost damaged beyond repair. Protoman approached Roll and knelt down beside her, checking to see if there were any wounds.

"Protoman?" Roll asked quietly, her tone was loud enough to break the deafening silence in the atmosphere though.
"What?" The male Navi asked, helping the girl to her feet.
"How did you find me?"

"I ran into a Navi who told me you were looking for me. He told me you went off toward the Undernet with a strange woman" he explained calmly.
"Oh..." Was all Roll had to say. But Protoman wasn't done.

"Why did you go with her?" There was a sudden harshness in his tone, "Especially to a place like the Undernet." He added on.

"I'm sorry" Roll muttered quietly.

"You could've gotten badly hurt or worse, deleted. Were you even thinking?" Roll winced, she could hear Protoman become more and more upset with her with each venomous word that escaped his mouth. Protoman sighed and placed his hands on Rolls shoulders, staring her in the eye.
"Roll" his stern voice had softened rather quickly now, as he sounded more worried and sympathetic. "Promise me you won't follow strangers into the Undernet again" she bit her lip slightly and nodded. She felt his grip loosen a little and his body relax before, unexpectedly, she was pulled into an embrace.
"I don't want to see you hurt Roll, not by anything" Protoman murmured.

Roll didn't fully know how to react to this sudden show of affection, so she simply hugged him back.
"O-okay" just as quickly as it had happened, Protoman released Roll.
"I'll escort you out now" Roll nodded timidly as Protoman smirked and took hold of her hand, beginning to guide her out of the Undernet.
Roll felt a blush spread across her face, her eyes trained on Protoman's face. He was rather handsome... No! Why would she ever think that!? She can't fall for him, she wouldn't. She liked Megaman... Right? Despite her brain protesting against the idea in whole, her heart told her otherwise. Maybe Protoman wasn't as bad as she originally believed...
