I just fucken love Silver and Gold okay!?!?

(Sorry about misspellings or anything similar, but if you wanna cuss me out for those then go ahead, knock yourself out)

"OI!" the voice echoed throughout the forest, making me wince as I recognized it. What did he want? My Pokemon were far too weak to battle, not that he'd actually care of course. I turned to face the red haired boy sauntering toward me, a cocky grin plastering his face.
"What do you want Silver?" I ask him, although I already know the answer.
He reached to his belt and pulled out a Pokeball, "battle" was all he said.
"Sorry Silv, can't, Pokemon are too worn out" I tell him, placing my hands behind my head in a stretch. His smirk fades into a contorted look of disapproval.
"You don't have any potions?" he questions. I shake my head. "Berries?" another no. "Then get out of this forest and heal your damn Pokemon" he commanded.
"Hey man, I'd love to buuuuuttt... I'm kind of lost..." I admit with a nervous chuckle. He gives me this deadpan look as if trying to comprehend how stupid someone could be.
"You moron Gold! Here, It's just over this wa-" he stops and looks around briefly. "Uuuhhhh... this way?" he points toward a darker part of the forest with a confused look on his face.
"You sure? Cuz it looks like you don't know where you are to me" I snicker, earning a cold glare from Silver.
"I know exactly where I am, and even if I didn't, I could just get Murkrow to fly up and point me in the right direction." He states, "but I won't need Murkrow since I'm not lost" he quickly adds in.
"Whatever, I'm gonna continue on then, bye Silv" I begin walking away, waving my hand nonchalantly behind me. He quickly grasps my wrist, keeping me in place.
"That's the wrong way idiot, it's this way" he drags at me a little, pulling me in the direction he wanted to go.
"Yeah, I'm not going with you" I rip my arm away and continue
on my way.
"You're just going to get more lost" he tells me.
"Whatever" I hear Silver grumble before he's suddenly at my side, muttering to himself about how stupid I am.
"What's up, buddy?" I ask carefully, I already probably set him off enough; I didn't need him exploding on me. Last time that happened he broke my arm...
"You're Pokemon are weak, if you get attacked by a wild Ursaring or something you have no way to defend yourself" he tells me, his face flushing slightly.
"Oh, so... you're going to protect me?" I ask, a sly grin appearing on my face. He quickly glances back at me and grumbles.
"don't take it the wrong way, I still hate you" I chuckle but keep quiet after that, falling in step with Silver.

We walked together in total silence for what felt like hours. In fact, it was hours. I looked up through the foliage and noticed that the sky was beginning to darken. I nudge Silvers arm, "Hey Sil" I say. He glares at me but quickly focuses his gaze up to where I'm pointing.
"Great, I told you we should've gone the other way, we'd be out of this damned forest by now!" his voice scares off the wild Pidgey nearby, all of the small bird Pokemon taking off from their perches into the evening sky.
"Looks like we're camping out here for the night then" I say, leaning against a tree and sliding down.
"We are not staying out here, Let's head back the other way, we'll be out by morning" he suggests
"No, I'm too tired. We'll go in the morning"
"What about warmth? And shelter? You won't survive a night out here" I lazily open an eye to look at him before reaching into my bag, pulling out a Pokeball, and releasing the creature inside. My Quilava appears and yawns loudly, looking around in confusion.
"Warmth" I say, gesturing toward the Fire type Pokemon.
"And shelter?" to that I point up at the tree leaves. Silver groans and sits down, his arms crossed over his chest. "Idiot" he mumbles. I smile and shuffle about in my spot for a more comfortable position before drifting off to sleep.

The dawns light filters through the leaves, gently hitting my face and awakening me from my slumber. I look over to where Silver laid, a smile creeping onto my face as I caught sight of him. He looked so calm. I had never seen him not looking angry, it's just his natural resting face.
The way the soft light shone on him made him look like he were glowing, it made him look like a child again. An innocent child that doesn't know of the horrors of the real world, I just wanted to reach out and pet him. He looked absolutely adorable and pure. But I knew that petting him would be a mistake, if he woke up he would actually murder me. Still, I found myself unable to ignore the temptation to just stroke his hair. I slowly crept close to him and extended my hand out, gently placing my palm on his hair. The red locks were much softer than I thought... Er, not that I think about Silver's hair and what it feels like.
"Get your filthy hands off of me" I heard a grumble come from the mound that was Silver. I looked down at his face now and saw his steely gray eyes glaring at me with bloodlust. I quickly retracted my hand and scooted away from him. He sat up, never taking his eyes off of me. We just sat in silence for a few seconds before Silver finally made a move. The red haired boy tackled me to the ground, his hands holding mine above my head by the wrists.
"What the fuck were you doing?" each word that escaped his mouth was filled with venom.
"S-sorry, it just looked so soft and nice" I say awkwardly, blushing slightly at the fact that I just admitted that. Although it was the truth it still felt weird to say. His grip tightened, his finger nails beginning to dig into my skin now.
"You idiot..." he grumbles, loosening his hands now before letting me go. He stood up and began walking off into the woods.
"H-hey! Where are you going?" I yell after him. He stops and turns to me.
"I just need some air" he tells me before continuing on. I purse my lips and consider going after him, but after what just happened I doubted that would be a good idea. So I stayed in the area we had camped out. I open up my bag and dig around looking for food, unfortunately though, there was nothing. Well, there was Pokemon food, but there was no way I'd eat that stuff again. I groan and take out the Pokemon food just as Quilava begins to awaken, gazing sleepily at me as I opened the canister. The Pokemon smiles and bounds over to me as soon as the food smell hits its nostrils. I chuckle and poor some on the ground, watching Quilava as it gobbles up the kibble in a matter of seconds.
Not much time passed before Silver returned, which was honestly surprising, I thought he'd leave me for sure. The more important thing though was what was in Silvers hands: food. He had so many berries that he could hardly carry them all. I stand up and hurry over to him, taking some of the berries out of his arms and into mine.
"Thanks" I hear him mumble as he passes me by.
"No prob bob" I say with a goofy smile. He glances back at me with irritation, but also the faintest hint of a smile.
We set the berries down and I just stare at them, a little dribble escaping the corner of my mouth. I don't exactly know what I was waiting for, maybe for Silver to start eating them? They were technically his berries. Or maybe I was waiting for permission to eat them, which was given to me by Silver telling me I could eat them and then proceeding to call me a moron. After I finished off a large portion of the berries I put the rest in my bag for later.
"Urf, I shouldn't've eaten so many so fast.." I moan, leaning my back against a tree.
"Let's go" Silver says standing above me.
"I can barely move Silv, can we wait another five minutes?"

"No, get up" he roughly takes hold of my hand and begins to try and lift me. Surprisingly, he does. He's stronger than I expected...
"Fine... c'mon Quilava" I motion for my Pokemon to follow and it hurriedly comes over to me, pacing itself in time with my steps.
We walked in silence, probably because it was kind of early and we were both pretty tired. I kept myself a few steps behind Silver as he seemed kind of grumpy today, still, every once in a while I'd catch him looking back at me. I like to think he was checking on me because he cared and wanted me to keep up, but it probably wasn't for that reason. He just wanted me to keep up so we could leave the forest and get my Pokemon healed and ready for battle faster. For the most part though I kept my eyes glued to the ground, which probably explains why I bumped into Silver when he stopped abruptly.
"Why'd we stop?" I ask. I look over his shoulder and see that we're out of the forest, the large Goldenrod city visible on the horizon.
"We're finally out? Yes! I was beginning to worry we'd be lost forever" I say, pushing past him to feel the cool breeze that was previously dulled by the trees.
"Let's just hurry to Goldenrod, I want a battle" he says, beginning on his way to the city. I smile and take one last look back into the forest before running off after Silver.
