The words stung. Stung and hurt like a bullet. Never in his life did Kyungsoo think that just a simple sentence would have such an effect on him. And as the words repeatedly rung through his head, he wondered what the hell he was thinking. To get involved with some girl he had only known for damn near a few days. To get involved with someone he met at one of the worst places ever, a damn bar. However, it was Crimson's response that caught him more or so off guard.

"Did you ever think that maybe I wanted to be consumed?" The silence after she spoke was almost deadly, Kyungsoo finding it hard to breath. Did that mean-

"Kyungsoo has done nothing but help me and I'm grateful to have him in my life. He has treated me with so much care and respect, something you fail to know about at this moment. If you want me to leave, that's fine. But don't call me when you need me, because when I needed you, you never answered." She said as she turned towards the door, walking straight out. Kyungsoo followed behind shortly after staring at the old man lying on the floor.

"Crimson..." He said as she spun around in her heels, her eyes full of anger.

"What?"

"Look, I don't know what's going through your mind right now, but you need to calm down. Okay?" He said as he pulled her closer to him, almost instantly regretting it. She let out a breath, sending chills down his spine.

"I just... I just don't know... all this shit that's happening in my life right now, I feel lost. I feel annoyed, I'm tired.." She said as she looked off into the distance.

"Then maybe we need to take a break. Not only from this "adventure", but from each other as well." Kyungsoo instantly regretted the words that came from his mouth. They weren't his, they were his subconscious', pointing him in the "right direction".

However, he found the direction completely and utterly wrong. Crimson looked at him with pleading eyes, hoping that he'd tell her that he didn't mean it, that what he said was a lie. But on the other hand, he knew this was the only way. The only way for them to figure out their feelings. The only way for him to figure out what was wrong with himself.

"Well... fine. If that's the way you want it." She said barely above a whisper. She gave him one last pleading look before proceeding off, her soft footsteps loud in his ears.

The more she thought about him the more she questioned reality. It had been about a week since their "separation" and Crimson was practically losing her mind. The first dream she had was traded in for many, and in return Crimson remained hidden in her apartment; scared to step out into the outside world. It felt like a whole nother break up, however they were never together. And as she sat there, she questioned all those factors.
Did he want them to be a thing? Was he afraid of them being a thing?

The door bell rung, dragging her from her thought bubble. Jumping off the couch, she hurried over to the door, hoping for it to be him on the other side. However, she was a little disappointed when the familiar face of her bestfriend appeared. She let out a little sigh and turned to let him in. He side stepped her, stopping to look into her eyes for a brief moment.

"Well someone's a little sad. What's wrong?" He asked, patting the spot next to him on the couch. Crimson immediately plopped down, spilling her story out to her bestfriend.

"Looks like you're in hell of a situation."

"Pretty much. I just don't know how to get him back." She didn't explain to him the whole "demon-prophecy factor. Just the fact that she had pretty much fallen in love.

"Well, why do you think you should do?"

"I don't know.. that's why I told you." She said, looking at Roy in the eyes. He ran his fingertips over her cheek, placing a small kiss on her forehead.

"You know how much I want the best for you right..." He said, looking down at her. Crimson tilted her head curiously, nodding it slowly.

"I just don't want anything bad to happen to you.. I care about you dearly Crimson..."

"I know... trust me.. I know.." She said and he smiled, ruffling her hair as rain began to fall outside.

"And if he can make you happy, then there's only one thing to do," He paused.

"Go get your man." The amount of sass and encouragement in Roy's voice was just enough to boost her up. Immediately, she followed his instructions, running off to her bedroom and slipping on a pair of sweatpants. She pulled a hoodie over her head and slipped on a pair of sneakers, dashing for the door.

"That's my girl!" Roy shouted as she ran out the door, full speed.

"I just hope that he's worth it... I'm not ready to let you go yet..."

As Kyungsoo sat listening to the rain, he wondered about her. About the girl who had grown on him so quickly, he could have sworn he was dying at the moment. Although it was his decision for them to spend sometime by themselves, he hated the feeling. The feeling of being alone. He wanted her so badly. And as he sat there contemplating the thought of getting up and going to get her back, he wondered how she felt. Did she feel the same way? Was it love? The same restraints that held him back from stopping her from leaving the first time were those same restraints that held him back now. Kyungsoo fidgeted, the voices in his head battling for dominant ideas. And it wasn't until there was pounding at the door that he had come to a decision. However, there was no need.

The rain continued to pound on as she stood outside on his doorstep. He found her so attractive drenched in rain but his mind continued to tell him otherwise. He was toxic, and Crimson was being consumed. And as badly as he wanted her, he simply couldn't have her. But that didn't change the fact that she wanted him. And she proved that to be so as she forced her way through the door and up against him, her lips finding his. Kyungsoo could feel his body draw it's way into her, pulling her closer by the waist, drowning himself in her presence. The kiss became passionate, more eager as she draped her hands around his neck.

The sloppy kisses along her neck he was giving her was enough to drive her senses berserk, almost giving into him. It wasn't until he found her lips again that she realized that the moment they were sharing wasn't out of lust nor desire, but out of pure love. How she found herself to fall in love with a man in a little than a month, she didn't know. But what she did know was that she was highly attracted to him. Everything about Kyungsoo made Crimson feel so at home and vise versa. To the point that he would do almost anything for her, including die.

She pulled away, her breathing in patches. They both stare into each other's eyes, mesmerized by the moment they just shared. Kyungsoo reached out, stroking her cheek lovingly.

"Why did you ignore me?" She breathed.

"Because I was afraid..."

"Afraid of what...?"

"Afraid of loving you. Afraid of become attached and then losing you forever. Afraid of allowing my toxicity consumed you, only to leave you as a heartbroken shell.." he whispered, drawing circles on her waist.

"Did you ever think I wanted to be consumed? I have come to love you and love you too much to let you go Kyungsoo. Too much for you just to walk out my life like that. No matter who you are or what you do, I will always love you.... Besides," She said as she placed her lips by his ear.
"I'm just as toxic as you are."

"My Queen... the preparations have been finished. Your plan is ready." The servant said, bowing before his Queen.

"Excellent. Thank you darling." She said and nodded to him, excusing him from the room.

"Now everything's falling into place... we have our puppet, now all we have to do is get the rest of the characters to act." She said as she stood, walking towards the small window of the
Throne Room. The Moon casted brightly over the dark sky, its full presence having affect, lurking within her veins.

"Soon and before I know it, they'll be in the palm of my hands. Ready for use."
