Clouds casted over the sky, leaving peaks of light from the sun in its wake. The sound of car doors opening and closing, engines starting was heard. Although "mischief night" was over, Halloween had just begun. A night where creatures could be themselves, despite the fact that people thought they were in costumes, which was the good part. They could be themselves with out worrying about people screaming and running away in fear.
And as badly as they wanted to tell the kid who told them their costume was "really awesome" that it wasn't an actual costume, they took advantage of the night; hunting and playing with damned souls as they pleased. The faint sound of rain beginning to clash against the window sent Crimson into a calm state of mind, her eyes watching Kyungsoo draw patterns on her skin as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"You know.... since it's Halloween, we should do something special..."
"Like what?" She asked, tilting her head towards him. "Dress up as freaky ass monsters and scare the crap out of kids?"
"Close, but I don't have to dress up. I can just shift." He said and she watched as his eyes flickered back and forth between the warm brown and cold black of his eye color.
"Maybe I can dress up as a clown..."
"You'll come off as a serial killer."
"True true..."
"Maybe a witch?"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Crimson said, raising her eyebrow. She tried to smother a smile as she heard Kyungsoo chuckle.
"Women these days... Goddamn." It was Kyungsoo's turn to hold back a smile as he watched Crimson double over, wrinkles forming at her eyes.
"But no, seriously. I have no idea what to dress up as."
"Neither do I. But we have time." He said as he gently slapped her thigh and stood.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make some phone calls." Nodding her head, her eyes followed him as he walked out the livingroom and up the stairs. And as Crimson sat there on the couch, an idea popped into her head, causing her to stand up and rush up the stairs, getting dressed to head out. She pulled on a black t-shirt and her bomber jacket, along with a pair of black matching vans. Her light washed jeans were ripped at the knees and she quickly grabbed her cellphone, pulling the door shut. Outside the wind blew slightly, sending a silver down Crimson's spine. As she walked the streets, her eyes wandered to her surroundings. The sky was now a faint purple, concluding that the rain had stopped but foreshadowed possible more later that evening. Despite the weather however, people still lurked the streets, smiling when she made eye contact with her. And she smiled right back, smile growing even bigger when she turned on the next street.
The shops were decorated with ghosts and cobwebs, making the holiday seem ever more scary. She watched as kids wandered down the streets with their parents, small bags containing only what can be assumed as their costumes in preparation for the night. As early as it was, Crimson was actually surprised to see anyone outside. Most of them would be preparing and setting up decorations for the evening, when kids would ring their bells for candy. Candy that would leave small holes in their teeth in the near by future. Crimson smiled to herself as she reached her destination, the smile growing even bigger when she noticed the girl inside the store.
"Hello! Welcome to "Tres Chic", how can I- HEY!!" The woman said as she recognized Crimson.
"Hey!" Crimson responded, doing a small wave.
"What are you looking for today?"
"A sexy ass, but subtle Halloween costume. And I think I have an idea of what I want."
