Because of that incident, I became somewhat paranoid of my name. Especially when I'm being called.
"Janggu! Geum Janggu!"
I darted my eyes up and saw my professor glaring down at me. Shisus. I've been worrying about my name. I should stop it and worry about my school standing instead.
"Nae?" I politely asked and stood up.
"Answer this." He said pointing at the problem on the board behind him.
"Gladly sir." I replied proudly.

Sigh.
"Janggu-yah... Hey." My best friend poked me on my cheeks one time we were having our lunch time.
"Oh. Seulmi." I smiled at her while she took her seat.
"You've been spacing out. What's the matter huh?" she asked.
"Nothing much. Just recently. Because of a dog." I said truthfully.
"Really?"
"It's a long story." I said and then nodded at her.

Class dismissal and now I'm heading home. I took my time, leisurely because it was still early so yea. Plus my mom hadn't called me yet.
"Janggu!" my ears automatically perked up.
I hastily looked around to search for something to hide and found a nearby post and decided to squish myself in between the wall.
I closed my eyes and waited anxiously. Surely that guy and his stupid dog was passing by. I stood still, stopped breathing, if I have to, just to be unnoticed.
Poke.
I breathed out heavily. Sure, heavens hated me. Ugh.
"Yo Janggu!" he exclaimed, grinning widely.
His dog barked at me and I looked down to it to send it a death glare. But it didn't get my message. Sucks to be a dog which has no human intelligence.
"Hey Jongen!" I mimicked his cheerful greetings and purposely mispronounce his name.
He frowned. "Jongin. It's Jongin." He corrected.
I nodded nonchalantly and slid out the post then proceeds walking.
"Janggu!"
"What!"
"I mean my dog. Sorry." He said, but his eyes were mischievous so I knew he was just playing with me.
I stopped walking and faced him. "Stop making fun of my name." I said.
He shrugged and stuffed his hands on his pants pocket. "Not my fault your mom named you after a dog's name."
I squinted my eyes at him dangerously. I know I lost it. How dare he blame my mother to name me after his dog when obviously I was born before his dog? I kicked his dog in return and the poor pup whimpered when it rolled away a few steps from where he is standing.
Yea. Animal abuse, but I didn't regret it.
He stared at me, wide eyed, jaw dropped and then he turned towards his dog who laid limply on the ground. I felt guilty. What if it died? Gosh. No.
He picked it up and it moved a little, whimpering. He then looked at me and I swear he had this 'killing' intent towards me.
I gulped. But...
"Serves you right." I said before dashing away from him. I did not run since I would turn out a coward if I do so. And I knew he wouldn't come after me because his dog's life was more important.

I sat in front of my table, my eyes on the window staring outside. My conscience was killing me. It was bugging me! I didn't know what to do. I peeked on the other window to check his house which as actually beside ours.
The lights were off, so that meant he was asleep. I sighed heavily and walked towards my bed. I should at least make it up to him or else he would hate me.
Then I ended up falling asleep thinking of something and ways on how to make it up to him and his dog.
