Bullet's Hero

Chapter 3

As Holder made his way to Linden's, he couldn't stop taking his eyes off of the clock. 10 minutes. He won't make it in time. Bullet was going to get hurt because of how stupid he had been. How could he yell at her? Sure he was mad, but he should't have gotten mad at Bullet. When he finally pulled into the parking garage of Linden's, he shot out of the car and quickly ran into he house. Guess Chase does't mind me taking to Linden.

"Linden! Linden are you home?!"

But the detective didn't get an answer. Just the ticking of the clock that determined if Bullet would live. He checked his phone. Time was up. And then a ring. Chase.

Bullet's leg doesn't look too good. Better get here quick with my amigo. Or else she might lose the other.

Holder couldn't do anything but scream. He tried his best and yet someone he cared about got hurt. He screwed up real bad this time. But he promised himself he won't let Bullet die. But he also promised to protect the city from criminals. He didn't know what to do. Release Carl, or just go straight for Bullet who may end up dead because he didn't bring Carl. He needed a plan. The detective set his phone for another two hours and quickly plotted his game plan.

If I bring Carl, telling the officers it's a prisoner transfer, I could take him to Chase. But instead of giving him, I could get Linden to get Chase and Carl locked up, and I could get Bullet.

But now he really needed to find Linden. Without her his plan won't work. He pulled out his phone ignoring the clock, not wanting to think about the pain that Bullet is going through, and called Linden who picked up in 4 rings.

"Hello?"

"Linden, where are you?" Holder spoke with determination.

"At the station. Why?"

"I'll be there in 10 minutes."

"Hol-"

But before she could finish, Holder shut his phone and left. Speeding towards the place he was just at.
