Chapter 4

Ji Yun ran, she ran as far as her legs could take her. Tears falling one by one.

 'He rejected my touch, of course he'll reject my love.' She thought. She stopped running to catch her breath. She found herself in the playground. 

She walked over to the swing and slumped down on it. She slowly swung herself back and forth. "Maybe the kiss did it. Urgh! I'm such a klutz... Why did I ruin everything?..." She said, hitting herself on the forehead a few times.

"Maybe tomorrow will be different, it's okay! Just smile remember!" She told herself for the second time today.

Two weeks passed. Sehun avoided her at all costs. Day by day her heart sank. Amber didn't even hang out with her.

Ji Yun felt betrayed, abandoned. Amber would try to talk to her but Ji Yun would push her away. 

Ji Yun walked to the school gates. She instantly found the spot she always went to ever since. She passed by Amber and the guys.

She got used to the loneliness. Amber and everyone else stared at her with sadness and worry. 

"Sehun... How much longer? Ji Yun hates me and I'm her cousin!" Amber asked.

Ji Yun sat down on a bench and read a book. Suddenly something hard was pelted at her. Gasps were heard. She felt something slide down her face.

She touched it and saw yellow. She got hit with an egg. She looked at whoever was responsible and saw the three girls who caused her hell.

"Aw~ Look who got dirty!" Seohyun said, causing the other two to giggle.

No one else laughed. They noticed Ji Yun fuming.

She then walked over to the girls. "WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU!?"

"Easy, you're close with the KingKas." Tiffany said as she stared at her nails in boredom.

"WELL GUESS WHAT? I'M NOT CLOSE TO THEM ANYMORE I'VE LOST THEM. YOU WIN OKAY? THEY ARE NO LONG FRIENDS OF MINE. THEY HATE ME. I'M TRASH TO THEM. ARE YOU SATISFIED?" Ji Yun snapped, her voice cracking at the end.

The three girls smirked. "Very satisfied." They said before walking past her.

Ji Yun didn't move. No one did. Sehun felt worse.

Ji Yun turned and she stopped when her eyes met Ambers. Her eyes were empty, emotionless.

 

Amber gasped. The Ji Yun's eyes went to Sehun's. He saw the same thing. She was empty inside. Her heart was broken...

Sehun and everybody else abandoned her. Ji Yun took a deep breath and walked back to her bag and went inside the school. 

Soon the chattering came back. A tear fell out Amber's eye. "Her eyes were so..."

"Empty." Sehun finished.

"What have I done..." Sehun said. He then ran into the building to go after her. He saw her walking slowly in the hallway.

She suddenly collapsed to her knees. He ran over as fast as he could. "Ji Yun!" He exclaimed. He looked in her eyes again, it wasn't empty, it was full of depression and sadness.

She didn't answer. She got back up and walked, ignoring his presence.

"Ji Yun wait!" He said catching up. She kept walking, ignoring his calls.

He grabbed her wrist and she stopped walking. Her heart beated fast again. "Ji Yun, we don't hate you." She snatched her hand away. 

He grabbed her from behind and held her. "Ji Yun I'm sorry." He apologized. She broke out his grasp and turned around.

"Sorry? You say you're sorry? Then why the hell would you do this to me in the first place?" She asked.

"I wanted them to stop." She knew what he meant by 'them'.

"Them!? Stop!? Didn't you see what just happened? They never did Sehun." She said before turning. By now the boys and Amber were at the corner of the hall, watching everything. 

He grabbed her wrist and kissed her. She pulled away as fast as she could and slapped him. 

"You were too blind to see how much I loved you Sehun." She said, walking off.

He stood there, tears falling. 'So she did love me...' He thought.

Two more weeks passed. The Princess and Sehun still were not in good terms. They were both sad inside. They wanted to hug each other.

Ji Yun laid down on the grass and looked up at the sky. She saw a clouds, her eyes squinted, they looked like letters

. Sehun watched from the window as he saw what Ji Yun was realizing. "It's time for me to go." 
He said before walking out the lunch room.

"I-I'm s-sorry. S-Sarang-"

"Hayeo." Sehun finished. She quickly sat up.

She looked up at the clouds and saw one last thing. Her name. 

"When I said I was sorry... I meant it Ji Yun. It goes the same for I love you." He said walking closer to her. She stood up.

She sighed. "I-I love you too Sehun." She said, looking in his eyes. He kissed her passionately. Her arms wrapped around her neck as he held on her waist.

Amber and the boys smiled, some cheered. Sehun pulled away.

"I promise you, that I will protect you from anything." Ji Yun grinned.

"I promise to love you Oh Sehun."
