One Word, One life (A MNR fanfiction)

Chapter 13

A/N this chapter is going to switch between Alex and Thomas's POV so I hope it's not confusing

Alex's POV:

i walk downstairs and sit down in the living room where Colton was watching TV

"hey" he says his eyes glued to the TV

"hi. What are you wantching?" I ask turning to the screen

"to be honest I have no idea" he says and chuckles

I smiles "then why are you watching it?" i ask laughing softly

"i don't know" he grins cheekily. "so your here while Thomas is out. Am I correct?" he asks in a fake interviewer voice

i laugh and nod "yep. That sounds about right" I say "but do you know where he is going?" I question.

"yep" Colton says popping the "p" 

"tell me!" i say excidedly

"nope" he laughs again poppping the "p"

"Colton please?" i beg giving him puppy eyes

Awe those puppy eyes..." he mumbles looking entranced before saying "no" with a completely straight face

"Meanie" i lightly punch his arm and he pouts

"ow.." he whines jokingly

"buck up" i smile and laugh as he sticks his tounge out at me

Thomas's POV: [A/N Alex's POV was kind of a filler so I'm sorry if it is bad]

I drive down the street looking for the small family owned store where I was going to get Alex's present. It was pretty much her first year in like forever so I want to get her something perfect, just like her.

I pull into the parking lot of the animal shelter and walking inside. I remebered how she had told me about wanting a dog when she was little but her mum was allergic. So I was going to get her one today.

I look around the store at all of the different animals in pens and crates for people to look at. I walk over to a small pen of baby puppies and looked through. All of them were freaking adorable but none seemed to fit her. Then I saw it, the perfect dog for Alex. A small husky puppy [I FREAKING LOVE THEM] who was seperated from the other group of dogs. She looked independent, a little shy, and absolutly beautiful. Not as beautiful as Alex but pretty damn close I thought. I walk over to her and gently pet her head. She was so soft. I smile as she lets out a small whine. 

"I think you are perfect" i say softly and pick her up gently. I chuckle softly as she snuggles close to me. I carry her to the front desk and pay for her from a young girl who looked like she was trying not to fangirl [XD my whole life] . I smile at her and thank her before walking out carrying the puppy, food, dog bowls, a few dog toys, and a crate that she was currently in.

Tonight was Christmas Eve and I purposly got the dog the night of because well, how the hell do you hide that for a week? Just saying

I go into the house through the garage and set everything down before letting the dog out. I sat by the back door watching her and also making sure no one came into the garage.

She sniffed around a bit taking in her new surroundings. i chuckle as she sneezes from a bit  of dust.

*TIME SKIP TO LATER THAT NIGHT*

 still Thomas's POV:

We were all sitting on the couch laughing and talking. There was snow falling gently outside and Alex was curled up against my side under a blanket

"How the hell are you not cold?" she asks referring to my sweatpants [and yes that's it] 

I laugh and shrug "I'm  a warm- blooded person?"

"all people are genius" she says rolling her eyes a smile on her face.

"I say we open presents now." Eric pipes up and everyone laughs in agreement

after about 15 minutes of opening presents I decide to get Alex's. The boys were all so sweet to Alex getting her new clothes and books [of course]. 

I walk into the garage telling Alex to wait in the living room with her eyes closed. i pick up the dog and carry her into the romm and chuckle softly "open them" i say laying the dog in her lap.

He entire face lit up as she smiled "Oh my god.." she whispers carefully wrapping her arms around the dog. "I didn't think that you would actually get me a dog" she says as i sit down by her. 

"why wouldn't I?" I joke wrapping my arms around her.

She smiles running her fingers through the dogs fur

"It's a girl so you can pick any name you want" I say watching her

She nods "I think I'll call her Misty" she says looking over the dog. "Because her eyes are a misty blue"

"perfect" I say kissing her cheek. "I love it"

She smiles "me too" 

Misty closes her eyes laying her head down on Alex's lap and falls asleep from the excitement

I look around the room and see all the boys grinning cheekiy "what are you guys up to?" i ask standing up watching them cautiously. When the boys grin like that I know they're up to something.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!" they yell dumping fake snow over my head and tackling me. I try to push them off keeping a straight face but fail horribly. when they finally get off me i look over to see Alex laughing waking up Misty and she starts making a small almost cat sound [yes it is adorable] which only makes her laugh harder. I loved the sound of her laugh. It seemed like her laugh held a little bit of everything inside of her mixed together to form a strong yet fragile, loud and outgoing, yet shy and kept to herself sound and it was amazing. 

After we had all calmed down and I had gotten all of the Snow out of my hair we all sat on the couch and watched cheesy Christmas movies all night long. Me snuggled next to Alex, Misty curled up on Alex's lap again sleeping, and the boys randomly strewn across the couches and floor. I smiled holding Alex close. This was just perfect.

A/N I FREAKING LOVE THIS CHAPTER SO MUCH okay anyway yeah it came in my head and I put it on the screen. so yeah. this took me about 3 hours to write in total so yeah you better enjoy it. I get to go and buy more Christmas presents tomorrow. I love shopping but anyway I'm about ready to like run screaming through my school at how much I hate it :) okay bye
