Time had passed peacefully since the old days that I used to be on team seven and I was very content with how life was. Kouki was enjoying his time as a Genin with his teammates, while Kiba was still a strong ninja. Naruto and Boruto were closer than ever since I had taken my place as his assistant, as he had more time for his family and was around his son, daughter and wife even more. We were all good friends and even Sasuke was spending more time with his family. Things were really going well and nothing could go bad at all...... or so we thought until my past caught up with me.....
Walking through the town towards the Hokage's office, I looked around and smiled at the people that went past. Everyone in the town were good to each other, and were in deep awe of Naruto's performance over the years as Hokage. He was an inspiration. A kid who started off with nothing then built himself up over his life and made himself acknowledged by all, quickly rising to be the Hokage of Konoha who brought peace and harmony between the villages. Arriving at Naruto's office, I entered and sighed, bringing a hand up to my face and rubbing at my temples. Naruto was asleep on the desk with piles of paperwork on each side of him. Walking forward, I brought up my hands then slammed them down onto the desk. He jumped up and brought out a rasengan in defense before noticing it was me and the rasengan disappeared.
"Oh, Tsuki..... I er..... I was doing the paperwork and must've gotten tired." Naruto blushed, stammering a little at being caught sleeping on the job. Smirking in response, I moved forward and flicked him on the forehead.
"You always seem to leave the office as a mess when I'm not here." I chuckled, glancing around at all the pieces of paper scattered around the office. "Get back to signing the papers. I'll sort this out then help you out so we can leave quicker." I instructed, gesturing to the big piles on the desk. Nodding in agreement, Naruto sat back down and got to work on the big piles of paperwork while I began to tidy up the office and get things organised again. It took four hours to straighten everything up, organise things and for Naruto and I to finish with the paperwork. Once it was all done however, it was well worth the wait as the office looked neat and tidy, and it meant that Naruto could spend some time with his family. As if on time, the two Genin teams entered into the room to report the end of their mission. On one team was Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki, while on the other was Kouki and his two teammates. Ryuu Drago and Shun Nanase. Ryuu was a pleasant young boy with a strong spirit. He had dark blue hair and light green eyes that were always full of determination. Shun was quieter and more mature than Ryuu's impulsive nature, and had black hair that ended at his shoulders and deep blue eyes. They were new to the village but had been welcomed and put onto Kouki's team. Hearing a yap, I looked down to see Aimaru with his tail wagging. Bending down, I began to scratch behind his ear causing his back leg to kick.
"Mission report?" Naruto smiled at them all.
"Piece of cake." Boruto grinned confidently causing me to chuckle at how much he acted like his father.
"It went well Hokage-sama." Shun spoke up for his team, being respectful to Naruto which was a rare thing for Boruto to do, but then again they were related so it was no surprise.
"Very good, leave a report and you can all go." Naruto instructed causing them all to nod in understanding, Sarada taking the chance to stay near Naruto as the future Hokage. Kouki had informed me and so had Sarada that she wished to become the next Hokage while Boruto wanted to be like Sasuke and support the Hokage. This decision was made after the Chunin exams were cancelled because of an attack by Momoshiki Otsutsuki where Boruto helped in saving Naruto with the Five Kage and Sasuke. Hearing footsteps come towards me, I looked up to see Kouki approaching us. Aimaru jumped back and sat by Kouki's side before my son wrapped his arms around my waist in a hug. Running my hand through his hair, I wrapped my other arm around him to return the hug.
"Welcome back. Did you enjoy the mission?" I asked with a soft smile.
"It was really boring auntie Tsuki." Boruto spoke up from the side as he sat on Naruto's desk, swinging his legs while playing on his game.
"He has a point." Kouki murmured with a smile, tilting his head up to look up at me.
"Well tough luck, you've got to do them." I chuckled, ruffling his hair. "We had to and so do you until we say otherwise."
"Sarada?" A voice spoke up from the doorway. Glancing over to the open door, Sasuke was seen standing there, his cloak hanging over his missing arm while his katana hung at his side.
"Papa?" Sarada gaped, curious as to what her father wanted.
"Your mother was wondering where you were." He replied in his usual basic tone.
"Well here she is." I smirked, still hugging Kouki with Aimaru yapping merrily at our feet and rubbing his head against my leg. "Wanting to spend precious time with our Naruto here." I gushed out, acting like a young girl in love. Sarada blushed while Boruto's face fell and his jaw dropped. Naruto looked nervously at Sarada before meeting my eyes and holding my gaze before glaring at me when Sasuke's eye twitched and he approached Naruto, not looking at all impressed. "I was joking Sasuke." I laughed, feeling highly amused at how he had reacted. Sasuke glared over at me but said nothing, only grabbed his daughters wrist and dragged her out of the office.
"One day you're going to tease him too far about something and it won't end well." Naruto sighed, one full of relief at Sasuke leaving without a fuss.
"Meh, it'll be fine. Now off you go you two. Naruto's done here for the day. It's time we all went home." I grinned, nudging Kouki's back. He unwrapped his arms from around me the same time I did and he began to run out of the office with Boruto while Naruto trailed after them with Aimaru following along. Watching them leave, I gazed out of the window up at the sky and smiled. I was so happy that things were going well for us all.
