Tsukiko's P.O.V
Hours went by and it was late out. Kiba had gone out searching for him but seemed to have no luck. Akamaru and Aimaru hadn't been able to pick up his scent after it suddenly ended near the village gate. However, a cloth that smelt like chloroform was found instead, along with three forehead protectors. Panic settled in and I rushed over to Naruto's house where I found Sakura already standing there, waiting for someone to open the door.
"Have you seen Sarada?" She asked, concern in her voice.
"No, sorry. Kouki's gone missing." I said at the same moment the door was opened to reveal little Himawari. "Hi sweetie, we need to speak to your father." Nodding with a smile, she ran along to get Naruto. Naruto walked along the hallway not a few minutes later with a confused look on his face.
"What's wrong guys?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck and letting out a yawn.
"Kouki's gone missing and so has Sarada." Sakura explained causing Naruto's eyes to widen.
"Boruto was with Sarada. Do you think they wandered off?" Naruto questioned, his voice showing his concern.
"Kiba found a cloth covered in chloroform and Kouki's scent suddenly came to a stop at the village gate. I think whoever took him took the others as well. They probably met up before suddenly being taken." I informed them all, trying to figure it all out.
"But who would take them?" Sakura gasped, her fist clenched at her side.
"My mother." I growled out as I realised how it all made sense. She wanted to get to me and using Kouki was the perfect idea, however if she took the other two then it meant that she didn't care about taking more than one child. Naruto's face became serious and his eyes narrowed at the mention of my mother.
"We need to go after them. The old team seven will form up as they are our children. Sakura, go home and inform Sasuke. We leave first thing tomorrow morning." Naruto instructed, his Hokage side coming out and his eyes flashing red for a moment to show how angry he was at his boy being taken and his village being threatened. Nodding in understanding, we both went our separate ways. Once home I told Kiba what was going to happen and though he wanted to come as well, he knew he couldn't go against Naruto and that we were extremely strong together. The next morning, I woke up early and snuck out of the house, kissing Kiba's forehead. With my bag packed and katana at my side, I raced towards the village gate where nobody stood. They didn't need to be dragged into this. It was my fault the children were captured and so it'll be me who returns them home, even if it killed me..... Letting out a sigh of relief, I rushed towards the gate and managed to make it part way down the road before I was tackled from behind. Struggling against the arms that held me, I relaxed when I recognised the chakra. Naruto.....
"We thought you might try to rush off by yourself." His amused voice sounded from behind me. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw a smirking Sasuke and a slightly annoyed Sakura. Letting me go, I moved forward before turning to face them. Sighing, I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Why are you all here early?" I pouted, causing Naruto to chuckle and Sakura to grin.
"We knew you'd try to act on your own. It's a bad habit of yours to think too rashly and be reckless." Naruto grinned, winking at me teasingly while his blue eyes glistened.
"Did you really think we'd underestimate how much you like to sort things out alone?" Sakura spoke up, her voice sounding amused while she walked forward with Sasuke behind her.
"We're a team, and we move as one. After all, she has our children." Sasuke sighed, seeming quite uncomfortable for saying that. Chuckling, I felt my heart swell with pride at having comrades and family like them.
"Fine." I smirked, turning to leave.
"Do you know where she may be?" Naruto asked as we ran down the path. Thinking it over, an image of my old home appeared in my mind. The place she trained and raised me but also the place I ran from.
"It'll take a few days to get there, but I have an idea. We may bump into a bunch of bandits on the way though.... Unless things have changed since I ran away...." I said thoughtfully, hoping that she was there and had the kids there safely with her. If she wanted me, I knew she wouldn't make it easy but hopefully it just meant she would put men around to stop us instead of being someplace else.....
Kouki's P.O.V
Stirring, my eyes fluttered open and the first thing I saw was Boruto and Sarada looking at the bite on my leg. Sarada looked serious and thoughtful while Boruto seemed rather concerned and annoyed. Sitting up slowly while rubbing my forehead, I watched them silently before curiosity got the better of me.
"What are you looking at my leg like that for?" I asked.
"How long has this bite been there?" She asked, looking at me with her sharingan active.
"The night my nan showed up." I shrugged, not seeing where she was going with this conversation.
"That was when your behaviour towards your mum changed, right? This bite has some strange chakra in it which I think is affecting you." She explained, sounding rather smart.
"Like he's being controlled?" Boruto spoke up, rubbing the back of his looking confused.
"Well done." A voice chuckled darkly from somewhere. Seeing a figure standing on the stairs, I noticed it was my nan and frowned as I remembered how we got here in the first place. "Uchiha's, a rather clever clan with the help of the sharingan. You're right. After meeting my grandson here, I injected a snake with my chakra and made it so after he was bitten, he'd feel nothing but contempt for his mother." She smirked, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. "Easy to use..... Unlike his mother it seems." My eyes widened in realisation and betrayal coursed through me, as well as regret for having treated my mother so bad the past few days. "You know, it worked exceedingly well for my second time of doing it..... You even went ahead and told your mother that you hated her." She laughed tauntingly. Tears welled up in my eyes as the hurt look on my mother's face flashed through my mind. "If I know that good for nothing child, she'll be on her way to look for you all."
"Why would she? I was horrible." I cried, pulling my knees to my chest and burying my face into my arms. Feeling a swat to the back of the head, I groaned and rubbed at the spot where I was hit. Boruto sat there looking annoyed at me and scoffed.
"She's auntie Tsukiko.... Of course she'd come. Or do you have no faith in your own mother?" He challenged, raising an eyebrow. Hearing laughter from outside the cell, I looked up to see Rin looking highly amused.
"Well, she sure has influenced some interesting kids.... as pathetic as she is." She smirked, watching us carefully. "Enjoy your stay here kids, you might be here for a while if your mum hasn't figured it out. Don't worry, I'll let you all watch as your parents are killed....." With that she walked back up the stairs, out the door and we heard it lock behind her. We stayed silent, contemplating her words and growing concerned as to whether our parents, as strong as they were, were going to be ok against this mad woman. Why didn't I listen to you mum?......
