“Love is not an equation, it is not a contract, and it is not a happy ending. Love is the slate under the chalk, the ground that buildings rise, and the oxygen in the air. It is the place you come back to, no matter where you're headed”
- Jodi Picoult

It was a strikingly warm spring day. The faint scent of roses and lilies clung to the air while butterflies danced to the soft harmonies of the swaying willow trees that laid spread across emerald grass like stars. Mid-morning clouds gathered around the flocks of smiling faces like heaven's witnesses, watching in mystical silence the event that was taking place at that very moment.
The short girl stood staring in growing admiration the warm chocolate eyes of her beloved. She watched as the sun's rays seeped through the foliage of the dancing willow tree that stood to their left, painting the smiling angel's features in a hue of dazzling gold. Taeyeon smiled a weightless smile as she took Tiffany by the hand. And like the ever changing seasons, she felt that at that second she had escaped the entrapment called time - living forever in that blissful moment.
So this was what true love was all about; to take that risk even though it might not be a happily-ever-after, to join hands with the person who looks beyond your faults, scars, and regrets, to see the secret held inside and say “I'm not afraid to fall with you”
Tiffany sent Taeyeon a glorious smile as the minister started to speak.
They had decided to finally hit the ground, but unlike raindrops that break when colliding with the cool, hard cement, they knew that they would continually fall even after that. They had survived. They had found something worth fighting for and went out into the fray bravely.
They had made it to Gyeonju. They had found their angel. They had got their wish.
Holding each others trembling hands, the two stood side by side in front of the many witnesses to show them with soaring hearts what enduring love was all about.
Taeyeon stifled a giggle and Tiffany responded by jerking her elbow to her ribcage before mouthing a “What's so funny?”
Leaning in to whisper to her ear, Taeyeon replied “I just remembered the time we wished on that snow angel. We're holding each others hands and standing in the exact same way, except this time we're looking at a minister and not a snow imprint of an angel.”
Grabbing Taeyeon's hand, the two best friends closed their eyes and started making their wish with hopeful hearts. And just like that, Tiffany and Taeyeon held hands alongside each other, battling out the bitter winds and numbing cold with the firm promise that everything was going to be alright – as long as angels still existed.
The minister gave an audible cough and both the two girls instantly swerved their head back at the man with innocent smiles.
“Go on,” Taeyeon motioned with the wave of her free hand.
“She's just really excited” Tiffany added with a nervous chuckle.
The minister shook his head and continued on with his monologue.
