After the 'incident' in the woods, you have decided to stay in the palace. That was five years ago, and you're still making it up to Thor. He has tried to discourage you from making it up to him, but being the stubborn girl you are, you haven't stopped. Every morning you bring him breakfast in bed and run him a warm bubble bath. Then, you lay out his clothes and wait for him to get dressed. That's the usual routine every morning, but today was different. Today was the day you are going to reveal your surprise; even Loki was in on it.
Quickly, you slip into your white and gold dress accompanied with your diamond earrings and gold sandals. Your (H/C) hair is in a plaited bun. A true princess is what Fandral said when he first saw you wear the dress. You gather with Loki outside Thor's room, and you tell him to be quiet. He just folds his arms and looks annoyed. He's such a drama queen! Silently, you open Thor's door, and you slide into the dark room. Loud snores can be from the blonde, sleeping, twenty-one-year-old. He's so grown up now as is Loki; you still feel like a child. With a loud shriek, you jump onto his bed and cuddle him.
"Wake up, Thor. We have a big, big, day ahead of us." You chuckle as you tickle him.
"Princess (Y/N)! Please, I must have my rest." He grumbles as he shoves you off the bed.
"Nope. Get dressed, we are going on an adventure!"
He mumbles something incoherent as he rolls out of the warm sheets and pushes you out of his chamber. Loki is slumped on the wall smirking.
"What?" You question, smoothing out your dress.
"Nothing. Just excited for the surprise."
You scoff with an eye roll as you wait for Thor.He boldly walks out of his room, and you link his arm with Loki on your left.
"To the bridge!" You chime happily as you skip.
"Sister, where are we venturing?"
You bite your lip as you shake your head; wanting to keep it a secret until the very last moment. Loki just groans as you drag him and Thor to the bridge. Instead of taking the horses, you take the long, but beautiful walk. Loki doesn't stop moaning for the whole journey; so Thor throws him over his shoulder, and you giggle as you cling to Thor's arm. Heimdall greets you at the entrance, and you smile kindly at him. Thor looks like he's about to speak, but Heimdall allows you to pass. Beforehand you had a quiet word with him, and he's allowing the three of you to travel to Midgard. You drag your brothers to the entrance of the Bifrost. Without a single word, you feel yourself being sucked in as you cling onto Thor and Loki for dear life. This is only your second time; hopefully, it isn't as bad as your first. Once your feet are on firm ground, you vomit.
"(Y/N), are you okay?" Thor questions as he sits you down.
"Yes, brother, it is just a bit of sickness." You smile. "Okay, let's go to the beach!"
Loki looks at you like you've gone completely insane.
"The what?" He spits with an unimpressed glare.
With a deep breath, you explain.
"The beach is a place on the coast where Midgardian's go on holiday too. It has got sand and sea, and it is nice in warm weather. I have wanted to go ever since I learned about it in my studies about Midgard."
"To the beach!" Thor booms as he takes hold of you and Loki. The three of you stand at the edge of the golden grains, wondering what to do. You pass a quick glance between Thor and Loki, but they remain staring at the sand in silence. The Midgardian's stare at you as they walk past on some sort of device. Lots of people have been talking to themselves. At the edge of the grains is deep blue water that crashes when it meets the sand.
"Ladies first." Loki smirks, putting a hand on your back.
You take a step towards Thor.
"Oldest to youngest." You smile.
Thor just rolls his eyes and folds his gigantic arms.
"Let's do it together. On the count of three."
The three of you count, and you all step onto the sand. Immediately, you notice how weird it feels as it flows into your sandals. You glance at Thor, who is running his hands through the golden sand.
"I'm going to go in the water." He booms as he starts running.
You and Loki just stay put; watching your older brother play in the sea and enjoy himself. After all, today was about Thor, not you or Loki. Thor.
