The band isn't famous

Mondays should be banned. Like seriously, everybody hates Mondays. They only cause trouble, right? Last week I spilled coffee on my crush, she probably hates me more than I hate Calum.

Here I go again on my own, entering the skyscraper. I really want to break free from that gross office job but we are so unlucky with our music. Nobody has caught eye on us. Slowly losing faith but I don't want to continue working in this damn building.

I greet the annoying receptionist who hates me for being punk rock. Like seriously dude, what do you get from mocking me? Entering the elevator, I see my crush y/n running to catch it. My tiny fingers rapidly tapping the open doors button. She makes it, big pile of some files stacked up on her arms.

It looks like she doesn't mind my existence by thanking me. She does seem stressed though, can't help looking at her. I look out to the window to not seem akward. Ashton always tells me how unappealing I seem when y/n is around. I keep my mouth shut because I know that only rude words would come out. The elevator is so slow that I could punch it in the face if it had one.

Her phone starts ringing. She panics a little when not knowing how to handle the pile of papers in her hands. After struggling for half a minute, they fall on the ground. She grabs her phone, I go try to tidy the floor up. Once I'm done, she just yells to whoever she was talking to and ends the call.

"Bunch of fuckers, that's all I can say," y/n speaks to me. "Thanks for cleaning this shit up and holding the door. I'm already late. My boss is going to kill me."

"No problem. Same situation with me. I'd quit if I had a better place to go," I reply, patting myself in my mind. I was being confident enough to not look weird.

The doors opened. It was her turn to go. I handed the files back to her, she smiled.

"We'll meet again today, I'll see you at lunch."

Four months later

Waking up beside y/n is very weird. It was like yesterday when she wanted to come to the gig. Me not knowing that she was also working for a record label, made me look dumb as heck. That chick got our band noticed.

What a fortunate move it was to keep that elevator door open.
