after that day, namjoon and i didn't speak. i would be lying if i said i didn't anticipate for him to contact me again but as time moved forward, i began to stop dwelling on what seemed unlikely to become true.

already a month in, and yunmi had gone to three countries with her newly wedded husband. at least someone in my family was having luck with men.

i was surprised that she didn't completely make fun of me for being ditched by my date the day before her wedding but she reassured me that it wasn't my fault and that i shouldn't resent what was an eye opener for me.

all though me and my sister had gotten closer, she seriously needed to stop sending pictures of her in a bikini and her husband in tight speedos to the family group chat. i shuddered and lightly chucked my phone away from me as i accidentally opened her notification to another strange picture of her and my brother in law.

"areum?"

i felt a tap on my shoulder and then a sudden shriek of exaggerated excitement followed by an unnecessary hug. it'd been more than a month and here i stood face to face with mitsu on the one day i decided to leave the house.

"what are you doing here?" she giggled.

"shouldn't i ask you the same thing, shouldn't you be busy right now? "

"i'm going back to japan in two days. i quit photography and i'm going back to studying part time. plus the previous drama and tension between you and namjoon is driving me CRAZY. "

"there's no tension between me and him. i just haven't spoken to him since that day."

"sure sure sure and don't ask me about namjoon because i'm just as clueless as you are, even his fan sites are low on info since he doesn't do as much activities as he did before. the dick also fired me the day you left." mitsu snorted before taking a seat next to me on the park bench.

"he should be rotting in that workshop with guilt of course." i huffed.

"you're right he should be. so what are you doing these days?"

"nothing much but i'm also on a break from photography right now. as much as i love it, i don't think i can do it right now. i'm probably gonna start studying something a bit different too."

"looks like we're both letting go of the same thing."

after catching up, we then said our goodbyes. i had despised mitsu for the longest time and it was all because of jealously. she turned out to be a genuinely nice girl and i wish i'd tried to get to know her more before jumping to conclusions.

i watched as mitsu walked away with her petite figure eventually disappearing into the scenery of the red sunset.

my head was tilted with my full attention on mitsu before i heard a faint click of a camera. i turned my head slightly, the sun covering my sight, before a familiar face came into view.

"aesthetically pleasing babe."
