Eddie's POV:

"I faintly remember seeing a piano around here." Miles mumbled from beside me. He had seemed to calm down quite a bit since we had first met. (thank god) It's like he is slowly coming back to his senses, which is always good. I'm just glad that he is becoming used to be around Waylon and I.

After Miles had taken his shower, Waylon, Miles, and I had headed out in search for some food. It was astonishing just how fast our food supplies were running out. It won't last forever. this thought had stuck in the back of my mind since Miles had first joined us. Not only do we have three mouths to feed, but a slowly diminishing food supply around us.

It was a grim thought, but it needed to be considered. A slight tug on my arm sleeve had pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked down to see two big brown eyes looking up at me and a concerned frown etched on a beautiful face. I still couldn't believe how lucky I was to have Waylon by my side.

"What's wrong?" Waylon's smooth voice came out in a whisper. I honestly didn't want to worry him, not yet. It wasn't a huge concern at the time. It could wait.

"It's nothing of importance, Darling. Just keep a look out for anything dangerous, okay?" I slid my hand into his and gave it a quick reassuring squeeze. I wanted to keep him safe, which meant we always had to keep an eye out for any hostiles.

"There it is! I knew it was around here somewhere!" Miles almost jumped with joy as he raced towards the old piano sitting in the room. It was worn, but still as beautiful as ever. Miles quickly slid onto the bench and ran his hand over the wooden surface.

He took in a deep breathe and opened the cover over the keys. He ran his hands over each one, as though to remember the feel of each note. "You know how to play?" I asked curiously. He didn't seem to be the type to like classical music, if anything he seemed more like a country guy.

"Yeah. I used to play it as a kid. It was one of my favorite pass times." He murmured. His eyes sparkled as he began to play a song that seemed familiar to me. I must have heard it a long time ago. The melody swam through the air, filling every dark corner, seeming to make it brighter. It was such a beautiful song that it was hard not to smile.

I grabbed Waylon's hand once again and pulled him close. He looked up at me with surprise, but soon a smile coated his lips as he realized what I wanted. Of course, one had to dance to such hypnotizing music.

We moved across the room as though we had done this a million times before. Swaying to the beat and moving our feet in sync. Waylon's head rested on my shoulder as we danced, and each time we spun around I swear I saw Miles smiling back at us.

My heartbeat matched each footstep, coming quickly. It was as though my breath had caught short. This truly was the perfect moment to share with the one I love. Minutes turned to Hours, before the melody had stopped. It was cut short by Miles's long sigh.

"Thanks guys. I hadn't played in a while and to see you guys enjoy it really made me happy." He smiled back at us while me and Waylon were still trapped in each other's arms, grins plastered on our faces.

"What song was that?" Waylon spoke with a relaxed tone. It seemed like he would fall asleep at any moment. You could have almost forgotten we had been walking around for hours in search for food. We all were so relaxed that is seemed we had no care in the world.

"It's called What Could Have Been. It was my mother's favorite when  I was little." A wistful smile lingered on Miles's lips before returning back to the shit-eating grin he always wore. "but I bet you guys love it more, considering it was such an oh so perfect moment for you two!" He gave a hearty laugh before quieting down once again.

I gave him an unamused look before sarcastically saying, "Says the man who can't even stay in a relationship for longer than a month." I crossed my arms in from of my chest and gave him a smug grin.

"I bet I could prove you wrong!" Miles scoffed. The look of pure determination crossed his face before fear painted his eyes.  I heard a gasp from my side as Waylon was wrenched from my arms. I turned around quickly to see a man holding MY  Waylon in a death choke. The one man I could never beat in this damned asylum. Chris Walker.
