I swung through the window and landed in the middle of the room. "Quickly, into position! Someone's coming, but I didn't see them! Quick, quick, quick!" I jumped in front of the chair and pressed the button that turned on the light and blew petals towards the door.
"Wueh!" the boy spluttered.
"Welcome to the Ouran Host Club! ~"
"Oh. It's just a kid." I was crestfallen
"Not only that, it's just a boy." Hikaru agreed
"I can tell this is gonna be really boring." Kaoru shrugged.
"What's wrong, little boy? Did you come to my palace in search of something?
"A-Are you the king of this place?" the boy asked. We tried but failed to stifle our laughs and got a glare from Tamaki and the boy.
"Ah..." Tamaki trailed off.
"Well, are you?" the boy nagged him.
"Don't call him King! He'll just get really obnoxious about it and waste your time!" we yelled at him, but the boy took no notice.
"Come closer lost one. What was it you just called me, little boy?" oh no
"The King." Shiro stated in a 'duh!' tone. Here it come in three, two, one...
"Oh! The King! Yes! I am the King of the Ouran Host Club! Long live the host king!" Tamaki answered.
"Told you so..." we rolled our eyes
"I'm an elementary 5th Year, Shiro Takaoji! I want the Host Club King to take me in as an apprentice!" the boy, Shiro, said. We audibly gasped and took a second look at him.
...
"Oh my, Tamaki, you have an apprentice?"
"Yes. He's still in elementary school, but I like the fire in his eyes." Tamaki answered obnoxiously.
"But are you sure it is okay for such a young boy to become a host?"
"Why wouldn't it be? Love has nothing to do with age. Take us for instance. Whenever I look at you my heart starts pounding, suddenly I feel no better than a love-sick little boy." Tamaki drawled.
"Ah, Tamaki..."
"Don't you think it's weird that he's making the kid watch him up close like that?" Haruhi asked.
"Yeah, it is unsettling." The Twins and I nodded.
"There is a theory that people are considered more beautiful the closer they are viewed. Tamaki seems to live by that theory. Well, let's leave them alone." Kyoya explained.
"What a disgusting theory." The three of us gagged.
"You naughty girl, you've drawn me to the forbidden fruit. Dearest, you are like a mermaid that has brought light to my lonely sea. My mermaid princess." Tamaki spoke gently.
"I remind you...of a mermaid?"
"You look more like the carp that swim in my pond at home. I would never give false compliments like that." Shiro said and glared at us when we fell on the floor laughing.
"Carp!?"
"Oh, don't listen to him! He's just a kid. You know how kids are. They can't help but be honest." Wrong thing to say...
"Honest!?"
"But that's just his opinion. I wouldn't say..." we stopped listening and continued strolling around the room. A little bit later, we went back to Tamaki.
