Connor was a ball of rage as he walked up on his pack surrounding not only his brother, but Cadence as well. He didn't know why it had made him so mad to see her looking so small, so fragile standing in the middle of his surrounding pack, but it did. No one else seemed to notice his arrival, no one but Cadence. Connor was reminded of the fact that her senses were probably more alert then his pack's because she's a rogue.

"What is going on here?" Connor asked lightly. He didn't need to shout. Once he has spoken the entire group turned to him. Some wide eyed as if he caught them doing something wrong, others calm and collected.

"This rogue bitch bumped into me and refused to apologize." Malic growled, pointing an accusing finger at Cadence.

Cadence crossed arms stubbornly. Though she was looking else where she knew that Joey was right. The big male could have moved, since she stepped out of the room she had been assigned everyone bad stared so it was highly unlikely battles male hadn't seen be as she walked up on him, but rather stayed in place just to give her a hard time.

Connor raised his brow at Cadence obvious irritation. He found her expression- cute. Yes, cute. Her nose which was small was scrunched ever so slightly and her lips pursed as she stared at Malic's head as if she wished it would shrink. Connor shook his head, relaxing. "I see and Cadence do you have anything to add to this?" Connor knew he was putting her on the spot, but he felt the need to test her. To test her durability if you will.

Cadence turned her glare to the Alpha and wished more then anything that she could slap the amused smirk off his face. "Actually yes, if you would like me too?"

Connor's smirk grew at her sassy attitude. He had to admit it turned him on just a bit. He moved his arm out in front of him in a bowing motion, encouraging her to proceed. "By all means."

Cadence narrowed her eyes, then straightened her back. The Alpha was goading her and while she would like nothing more then to take him up on it she had to keep calm. "Since I left the room I was placed in, I have yet to see a single person who hasn't stared or spoken about me. I find that your pack member her either did one of two things. He either seen me and wished to give me a hard time or he is lacking in basic survival skills and didn't notice the foreign scent." at the slight insult Malic growled and took a step towards her only to be met with a step forward by Cadence. "I believe the former is the real reason, but it could be both."

Cadence was ready, her body moved before Malic's as he charged forward. But, instead of simply attacking him she dodged taking a confused and startled Joey with her. She knew that the big male had a anger issue, but she had who early thought he would have thought of Joey before he lunged at her so carelessly.

Cadence pushed Joey behind her back, not quiet sure what she was going to do as Malic charged at her again. She couldn't just move because if she did then she would leave Joey without protection. She didn't have to fear though, before Malic could move too close to her or Joey Jake was standing protectively in front of them while Connor held Malic by the neck.

Malic gasped for breath, clawing at Connor hands. "You dare to attack Cadence? Have you forgotten that I, your Alpha is her guardian?" Connor growled, squeezing a bit tighter.

Cadence could see Malic's lips turning blue from the lack of oxygen and even though he deserved to be put in his place, Cadence would feel forever guilty if Connor killed one of his pack members because of her. Not being able to handle it anymore Cadence rushed forward and put her hand lightly on the arm that held Malic off the ground.

Connor turned his glare to Cadence. Her touch was gentle, but to him it felt as if she had shocked him. "Release him, please. It isn't worth it." Cadence whispered. Connor narrowed his gaze at her, confused. Why did she care? Shouldn't she feel happy that he was defending her? For some reason the thought of her not appreciating his protection irritated him. Connor turned back to Malic, "you will keep this as a warning. Do not mess with my ward again, understood?" Only when Connor rechecked a slight nod did he release Malic.

Connor didn't wait to see if the man recovered, but turned and grabbed Cadence by the upper arm and basically dragged her away from the surrounding groups. For some reason he had an uncontrollable urge to get her away from his own pack members. He wanted to ask so many questions. First and foremost, why did she stop him?
