Pearl took hold of the Doctor's hand, quickly but carefully leading him through the wrecked interior of the warship, before exiting through a massive tear in the ship's hull. The ravine rose above them on high rock walls to either side of them, the only light coming from the unreachable trail of sky along the top.

"You made that tremor happen?", gasped the Doctor with astonishment, causing Pearl to suddenly fly into a spasm of nervous stammering.
"W-well, those soldiers would ha-have clearly outnumbered me! And the only way I could escape was through the tunnels! I was running out of options so-"
"Pearl, that was the most unexpected, reckless thing I think you've ever done,". The Doctor's tone didn't seem to be angry, it just sounded surprised, perhaps even a little impressed. "Where credit is due, you are as creative as you are extremely stubborn...thank you...for not flattening me in the process."
Pearl gave a small grin in return. She knew this Doctor all to well at this point. But Pearl's awkward pride quickly went back to panic as the ground began to shake once more, with the scream of the Cluster calling out.
"The Cluster! It's already trying to build its physical form!", she cried.
"Lets move!", the Doctor declared, rushing back into the ship.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't just stand there," he called back. "I'm gonna need some help moving the TARDIS! If we don't get her working before that overgrown geode tears this planet apart-well, need I say more?"

In no time, Pearl and the Doctor had gone back through the wreckage of the warship and found the control room again, where took hold of the TARDIS from beneath and raised it up. She wasn't exactly the strongest of Gems, so it looked like she was carrying a stack of boxes on moving day-only this was just one box.
"You really are hopeless without me," groaned Pearl. "This idea had better work."
"The TARDIS needs a lot of energy in order to recharge and this tremor should lead back right to the Citadel, where a Crystal Heart's worth of energy is waiting for someone to take it", the Doctor explained. "So if the Cluster hasn't wrecked too much of the Heart's veins with its commotion than, generally, yes it will work."
"If!?" squeaked Pearl.
"Never mind," the Doctor threw in behind a dismissive wave. "We just need to get this thing on solid ground!"

Once the TARDIS was out of the warship, laid down on the rocky ground before the both of them, the Doctor opened the door of the blue box, to try and get the ship linked to any life force that may still be in the ashy, cracked earth around them. He stopped short, however, when a high, furious scream began to grow from behind him. Pearl heard it too, but the moment they turned around a mini explosion kicked up, knocking Pearl off her feet. When the thin Gem had flipped onto her back, she saw the dust clear for her to be greeted by the white hot tower of terror that was Star Quartz. Teeth bared, hair frazzled and muscles tensed in concentration, she looked like a beast about to close in on its prey.

"You...you-you," snarled Star Quartz. But she didn't finish her sentence, just pulled her twin blade weapon from her gem and swung it over her head. Pearl rolled out of the way before the blade hit the ground. She stood up and bent her body to the right to avoid another swipe, which landed on the side of the TARDIS, bouncing right off.
"Pearl!," called the Doctor. Pearl saw the Doctor leaning from the TARDIS doors, his hand outstretched. Unfortunately, Star Quartz heard him as well and reared herself up for a thrust attack.

The Doctor shut his eyes tight. There was a clanging sound. When he opened his eyes, he saw Pearl's back facing him. Her spear was drawn and Star Quartz was staggering back a bit.
"Stand down," Pearl spoke harshly. A steely determination was in her voice and her tall, straight body as she maintained eye contact with the quivering Quartz general.
"We're trying to be all merciful now are we?," Star Quartz responded in a hoarse crow. "That won't work I'm afraid." She split her blade into the two katanas. "This colony-everything-will be gone the moment the Cluster pops out! This whole planet is dead because of you!!!"
Pearl ducked beneath a swing at her head, which just barely flew past the Doctor's face.
"You taken everything from me-and now I'm evening the score!" growled the furious beast of a Gem, taking another swing at Pearl, which she parried with her spear. "I will break the last of the Crystal Gems! Grey Diamond already has a million rotten Pearls anyway!!!
