A/N: Hello :) wow, okay. This is my first story on here and I don't really know what I'm doing so if I screw up with something, please tell me! So this is the first chapter of my new story entitled Red Love. It is a Liverpool Football Club fan fiction :) Please let me know what you think of this chapter; I don't know whether it's too boring or not :/ it's basically introducing all the characters to the story. Ha...well, yeah, enjoy :)!
Chapter 1
I opened up my blind to find a watery sunshine just rising above the tree tops in Stanley Park. Weak though it was, it filtered through into my bedroom and brightened up the place immediately.
I smiled to myself as I pulled on my dressing gown. I loved living here in the city of Liverpool. It had to be one of the best cities in the country purely because of the culture and the way it just gave me a buzz everytime I stepped out my front door. It just inspired me a lot and made me feel very much at home.
I strolled out into the living area of my apartment whilst staring at one of my three room-mates, Jay, as he tapped away on his XBOX controller whilst concentrating earnestly at the TV screen. He was currently playing FIFA12 with his tongue out...which makes a man ten times more attractive, right?
"Jay?" I placed my hands on my hips and frowned at the back of his head. I got no response from him whatsoever.
"Jay!" I call a little louder but I still get no response.
"Yo dumbass! Don't ignore me!"
Still, no response.
"Hey Jay, I'm getting naked over here-"
Jay spun around immediately and looked at me expectantly. He then scowled, frustration etched onto his face.
"Don't lie!" Jay stated, downheartedly.
"Well, don't ignore me then!" I replied.
"There's no need to get my hopes up and then just disappoint me at the last minute. Do you know what that does to a man?"
I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen and grabbed some juice out the fridge. I then wandered back into the living room and plonked myself beside Jay who was frowning at me.
"For that, you have to get your breasts out..." he suggested, pervertedly.
"Jay! -"
"I'm serious, whip 'em out!"
"Jay, no! Shutup!"
"Just one?"
"Shutup! You ignored me in the first place!" I argued, trying not to laugh at how ludicrous he was being.
"Fine, we're equal. Happy?" Jay gave in, scowling once more.
I sipped some of my juice and rolled my eyes again "So how is FIFA going?".
"Good! The race for the title is on!" Jay fist pumped the air and continued with his game. I laughed and smiled.
Goofy though he was, Jay was my best friend (I know, what a surprise, right?) We'd both moved up to Liverpool from West London to enroll at the University of Liverpool. Our parents mostly helped us out at the start with the finance but then Jay managed to get a part-time job at Liverpool Football Club as a steward. You know, he'd sit near the crowd, watch them, kick out anyone who was being bad, you know the drill. That pays pretty good money so he brings as much cash in as he can. I only work part-time at Starbucks...that's hardly anything compared to what Jay does!
"Yes! Suarez, like a boss!" Jay fist pumped the air once more as he tapped a few buttons to make Liverpool's little Urugyian striker score a magnificent goal.
"Wow, impressive," I nodded my head, amazed.
"Jesus, did I just hear Bea paying Jay a compliment? That's rare..."
I looked to my right and saw my little brother, Dylan, exiting his bedroom rubbing his eyes looking very sleepy.
I double took Dylan's appearence and narrowed my eyes at him.
"Have you got a hangover?"
"What? No! Bea, what the hell are you on about?" Dylan looked offended as I eyed him suspiciously.
"Yes you have! You don't have to lie to me Dylan, I won't tell mum. Besides, you and the Under 18's won last night, it's okay for you to let your hair down!" I grinned at my brother and he frowned at me.
"Never use that phrase again..." he shook his head at me and stumbled to the kitchen.
Ah, my brother, the wannabe footballer! Dylan currently played for the Liverpool Youth Team as an up and coming left winger. Last night, himself and the team had won 4-0 against the Newcastle United Under 18's. Evidently, he and the team had been out celebrating the win last night. Which reminded me, there was someone else who should be congratulated too...
"Ugh," someone groaned from the door which was next to my bedroom.
"Morning Aaron!" I beamed at the last of my room-mates as Aaron clutched his head.
"Please don't speak..." Aaron made his way to the kitchen and myself and Jay chuckled.
"Kids these days just don't know when to stop when it comes to alcohol!" Jay said smugly as he continued to play FIFA.
Aaron, like Dylan, played for the Liverpool Under 18's as the 'future first team goalkeeper!' Himself and my brother had followed in mine and Jay's footsteps and had come up to Liverpool . They had travelled up to join the highly impressive Youth Team set up and had been accepted straight away, considering how brilliant they were. No, I'm not trying to be biased towards my brother and his best mate, but they are great! Don't believe me? Well here's the proof: Aaron has not let a goal in since he was picked for the team 7 months ago and Dylan has scored more goals than both of the Youth strikers put together! OK, maybe that is a little bit biased...!
I sat back on the sofa, put my feet up on the coffee table and watched my best friend on the XBOX.
I loved my life right now. I actually did! I know I probably sound like I'm high or something...but I honestly did! I lived with three people that I loved; we owned a great flat overlooking the magnificent Stanley Park; my two friends and my brother had out of this world jobs; and I was doing well at University! Who could ask for more?!
