Holding my scarf up high, I sung my heart out to 'You'll Never Walk Alone' while I witnessed the scenes around me. Every single fan was mirroring my actions; they too were holding up their red and white scarves for everyone to see. I took a look at the pitch and the players I admired: Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuyt, Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson...my eyes rested on the Mackem and my heart melted -

"Bea!"

"Huh?" I snapped back to reality and looked at my Professor. He had a stern frown on his face.

"Do you have your essay? I've asked you about two times now!" Professor Lynch didn't look impressed as I slipped my five page essay out of my folder.

"Sorry Professor..." I grimaced and handed him my work.

"Miss Travis, you attend these seminars to learn, not to daydream!" Professor Lynch turned and walked to his desk as I sighed and rolled my eyes.

This was the third class today in which I'd heard every single Professor say the exact same thing as Lynch.

I couldn't help the daydreaming though! I was just so excited for Saturday! It was two days away now and for the whole week I had been texting Lexa nonstop. Her aunt had eventually said she could go with myself, Dylan, Jay and Aaron to the match. The trip had me losing vital concentration at University though which really wasn't impressing my Professors.

At the start of the course everyone was told that Criminal Justice was one of the hardest subjects to take at Uni. I enjoyed it and it was worth paying the money for, but this week all I'd been doing was daydreaming...and to be honest, it was really pissing my Professors off.

I sat up and began to take notes off the board. I knew my lack of application wouldn't last long, all I had to do was get the weekend over and done with and I'd be back to my normal, geeky, 'I love University' self!

***

I was entirely grateful when the clock struck 5pm. I'd already packed my things away and was ready to leave by five to the hour.

Professor Lynch let us go and I was out of the door first. I hot footed it out of one of the fire doors and legged it across campus to the University's main car park.

You probably want to know why I was moving so fast...and it's simple; I didn't want Lynch to keep me behind after class to talk about my concentration. Screw that!

No, myself and Lexa were off down to the shopping centre, Liverpool One, to get ourselves outfits for Saturday! I know it's not natural to dress up for a football game but this was going to be no normal match day...we were gonna be meeting HOT football players afterward; it was time to get our groove on!

I enthusiastically jumped into my Audi and instantaneously regretted it. My rib still hurt badly from last weekend which lead me to think of him...

Jordan.

Holy crap, yes. I'd be meeting him again! I had totally forgotten about that. Which was weird because knowing how we had met the first time and then knowing that I'd be meeting the first team players, you'd think I would've made some sort of conection, but thus far...I hadn't and I was only just realising this information now.

It made me nervous though to think about what was going to happen. Suddenly Saturday was becoming more of an anxiety than something to enjoy.

I revved up the engine and pulled out the parking slot and instantly rued my careless daydreaming. There was now a jam of cars attempting to exit the car park which meant that I would have to keep Lexa waiting for a little longer. We said we'd meet at my apartment building shortly after 5pm but, because Dylan and Aaron were currently playing in an Under 18's match at Anfield and Jay had compromised with the club that he would steward the Youth match as he'd be watching the game on Saturday, Lexa had to wait outside my apartment building for me which she wasn't too happy about. It made her feel - and I quote - "like an awkward hobo".

The blockage at the car park exit wasn't too bad and I eventually pulled out onto the main road. It took me about 15 minutes to get back home through the rush hour traffic much to the dismay of a very disgruntled Lexa.

"God, you take your time don't you?!" Lexa heaved herself up from the ground as I locked up my Audi. "I can't feel my ass! That's how long you've been."

"You'll live, my dear," I grabbed my keys from my bag and unlocked the apartment building door.

"Did you bring everything?" I asked.

"I think so. I have a feeling I've forgotten to pack a bra though," Lexa replied and I rolled my eyes.

Typical Lexa. She was sleeping here until Saturday as there was no point in her travelling back to Kirkby and then returning on Saturday but every time she did stay with me, she always seemed to forget some essential. It just proves how ditzy she is, ha!

"So do you have any more classes tomorrow or can you stay at home and hang out with me all day?" she enquired.

"I have one lecture at half twelve tomorrow for two hours but after that we can start raving about Saturday," I grinned and Lexa sighed.

"Guess I'll just hang out with Jay tomorrow then. Woo, party starts there..." Lexa said sarcastically and I laughed.

I deposited my Uni stuff and Lexa dumped her bags in the apartment and we made our way out again to my car.

"Oh, hey! Guess what?" Lexa had a huge grin on her face as she shut the apartment building door behind her.

"Judging by your face, it's either something immensely pleasing or it's gonna annoy the crap out of me. I'm going for the latter on this one," I replied.

"Nope! It's actually the former!"

"Really? For once?" I chuckled.

"Yeah! Well, it depends on how you view it. Traveling over here today I went via West Derby and past Melwood-" Liverpool's training ground "-and I saw your boy Jordan pulling out and, boy, did he look stressed!" Lexa told me this information with a risky smile on her face.

"Really? Well, that's understandable considering he didn't play that well last weekend,"

"Yeah, but he's 21! Young men shouldn't get stressed over one bum performance. Something else is on his mind and I'm about 99 percent certain I know what it is. Or rather who it is..." Lexa had a smug look on her face as she winked at me.

I ignored her annoying gesture and clicked my seat belt in place.

I would refuse to accept that it was I who was making Jordan Henderson's concentration levels fail. I thought he'd be more professional than that. Why would something as simple as one girl make someone lose focus so easily?

Anyway, this was Lexa making this up! It would be something ridiculous if she had said it!
