Happy 64th weeksary po sa ating lahat! Dahil jan, sinipag akong mag update. Mweheheh. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 Start of the school year 2013. Maine was very excited for her first year in college, she's nervous at the same time because she won't be with her highschool friends most of the time. They enrolled in the same university, but she was the only one who took up the fashion design course. Val and Pat took up HRM while Ruby, Pauleen and Pia took up accountancy, Allan and Ryan took up engineering. Good thing they could still spend time together during lunchbreaks and they could still go home together after class. The reason why she took up the fashion design course was because she wants to take crocheting to a whole new level. And today she will be seeing their department's chairperson, Ms Lulu Tan Gan, for the freshmen's orientation. How her heart swelled with happiness seeing her idol for the very first time. Ms Tan Gan's known for her signature knitwear, which is really close to her passion for crochet. And her mother has tons of Ms Tan Gan's timeless silk and knit tops and dresses over the years. Maine has been wearing Tan Gan's pieces for a while now, her favorite pieces are the slitted chemise dress, shorts and coullotes, and the beautiful knitted tops that are just so comfortable to wear. When the orientation ended, she waited for Ms Tan Gan to pass by where she was sitting because she at least wanted to shake her hand. When their chairperson was getting near, Maine put on the brightest smile and held out her hand. "Good morning, Ms Tan Gan. I'm Maine Mendoza, and it's really an honor to finally meet you in person." The lady was very happy and then shook her hand. "Hello there, Maine! So nice to meet you. And, oh, you're wearing one of my pieces. Thank you. And I love your bag!" Maine completely forgot that she's wearing a Tan Gan knitted gray slitted chemise dress. Upon hearing the lady appreciating her dress, she just got so giddy. "I've a wide collection of your clothes, Ms Tan Gan, I can give you a tour of my closet so I can make you see them. And my mother's too, we just love you! And I crocheted this bag myself, I call it the granny bottom." She told Ms Tan Gan excitedly. "Nice to know that you crochet, most young people don't do needlecrafts anymore. I'll look forward to that, Maine. I'll go ahead, and I'll see you around okay?" The lady bade goodbye and then headed out of the auditorium. During lunchbreak, the whole group met up at the school cafeteria. Each had stories to tell how exciting their first school day had been. Maine had been staring dreamily into space while munching on her cheeseburger. Val: Woy, Meng! Haaaayy. Allan: Seryoso?! Buti kapa na meet mona idol mo. 2 men passed by their table and said hi to Allan and Ryan. Ryan: Uy, pare! Barkada pala namin ni Allan. Si Valeen, Patricia, Ruby, Pauleen, Pia saka si Maine. Guys, sina Sam at Jerald, kaklase namin. Sam/Jerald: Hello! Nice to meet you. We'll go ahead na muna, puntahan pa namin yung friend namin sa fine arts department. The two guys flashed their adorable smile, turning Val and Pat's knees into jelly. Just as Sam and Jerald left, they heard the bell ring for their next class. Ruby: Oh sabay sabay tayo uuwi ha? Sa may gate nalang tayo magkikita. They all agreed and they all went to their respective classes. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 A/N: I'm not really sure if Ms Lulu Tan Gan has ever become a chairperson for any fashion school or program. But she is a very popular fashion designer who has earned the title "Queen of Knits," an honor that recognizes her mastery of a craftsmanship, and her ever-evolving grasp of fashion trends. My mother used to have a wide collection of her RTW silk and knit tops and cardigans. Her clothes are truly classic and timeless. "Oh yes, they are all the same. If they come from good stock and are well cared for, they all age gracefully. Ha ha!" - Lulu Tan Gan, when asked about wine, women or knitwear. And the granny bottom bag, was named by Marcelle of YouTube. It was a basic granny square design being shaped to become what look like a fat bottom bag, or a hobo bag.
