Julius Caesar

Remember last year when I was Hippolyta in a production of A Midsumer Night's Dream? Well, this year I'm playing Octavius in a production of Julius Caesar. I must say, it's a bigger part than the one I had last year and I'm happy about that. Last year I gave you my lines translated into modern English, so this year I'll do something different. So, without further adieu, background themes that could be used for Julius Caesar!

Gangsters: Have the two enemy groups be two different gangs. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy! 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

Star Wars: This is the one that we're using for the production. Caesar and company are Scythe Lords. The Soothsayer is Yoda. I don't know much about Star Wars (and don't even wanna), so I won't go into detail.

The Outsiders: This is based on a book I'm reading right now. Caesar and company are the Socs and the Conspirators are the Greasers. Sorry, if you haven't Read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, it's highly recommended.

Mockingjay: Caesar is President Snow. His followers are Capitol people. The Conspirators are the rebels. This makes perfect sense seeing as The Hunger Games was based on ancient Rome.

Prince Caspian: I can think of a way to do it as Caesar, but the story goes better with Hamlet.

The Uglies: Caesar and company are the Specials. The Conspirators are the Smokies. OMG! Why did Zane have to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Star Trek; The Next Generation:

Caesar: Picard (sorry, Captain)

Soothsayer: Q, DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calphurnia: Urgh, that's a hard one. Surely there's a "Next Gen" person out there who can HELP ME!!!

Octavius: Riker (well, he's second-in-command...)

Lepidus: Data (I should have given him something more important, oh, well)

Mark Antony: Wesley

The Conspirators: The Borg (well, duuuuuh!)

The Original Star Trek:

Caesar: Kirk (sorry, Jim)

Soothsayer: The leader of the planet below

Calphurnia: Pick a girlfriend, any girlfriend

Angry mobs: The redshirts

Octavius: Spock (well, he's First Officer...)

Lepidus: Chekov

Mark Antony: Bones

Cassius: Khan

Brutus: Lieutenant McGivers

What the heck, this I all I can come up with!

I might go back and fix it, but who knows (only time)?
