When nighttime fell, I tried to sleep, but it wasn't coming so easily tonight. I thought of you, but that just made it even harder. Even though you were here with me, I've never felt so alone, so separate from another person since my parents were in the picture.
I left my curtain open to having the moonlight keep me company, but it provided no comfort, just light.
There were a few things I knew for a fact by tonight.
