Junior sighed and tried to move his body. It was no use. He was in too much pain and he didn't want to risk another internal bleed. Tulip, who rested her head beside his hospital pillow, sleep soundly despite the groans he made.

He decided sleeping was the best option for him. It didn't take him much energy anyway...

Just... he would just be alone in his mind...

He didn't want to be alone.

Long ago...

A tiny stork with fluffy grey feathers entered the office. His tiny wings were not ready for taking flight yet and his eyes seemed to be too big for his head. He looked around and saw his father on the phone. He smiled and ran to him. He tugged at his suit. "Daddy!"

The older stork seemed to be a bit annoyed. "I'll call you back, Bert." He hung up and looked down at the baby stork. "Junior, how many times do I have to tell you I don't like getting interrupted while I'm working? I'm about to be promoted."

"What's pomumuted?"

"It's. .. arg... nothing. What do you want?"

"Sowwy..." Junior lowered his head.

Hunter sighed. "What is it?"

"I... I wade you a pictuwe..." the tiny stork handed Hunter a paper with a crudely made drawing. It wasn't that good, but you could make out what the images were. A bigger stork with a suit and a baby stork with a big tie around his neck.

Hunter awkwardly smiled. "Thank you. I guess..." Little Junior gave him a gummy smile.

A few years into the future had not changed much, but Hunter had become a bit more forgetful about Junior.

"Dad!"

Hunter hung up his phone in annoyence. "What? I need to go to work."

"But... what about breakfast?" Junior asked as he showed Hunter his empty bowl.

Hunter sighed. "Um... here." He grabbed a piece of bread and a bottle of water and handed them to the child. "Take this and go."

"Go where?"

"School."

"You hired a teacher to homeschool me and she was sick today, remember?"

Hunter groaned. "What about your mother?"

"Papa... she died years ago when I was a baby..."

Was he stupid or something? Junior sighed and took the items. "Ok, I'll be in my..." But Hunter was already gone. "...room..."

Sometime later, he had started to lose the grey fluffy feathers and his flight feathers were ready for take off.

"Dad! Dad! You told me you would teach me how to fly!"

"Its Hunter..." Hunter sighed and left his paperwork on the table, seeing that he could not get rid of his son this time. "Alright. This is what you got to do..."
