Turning left into an empty street driving up a forest looking driveway which led to a decent house. I park out in the front munching on the last chicken nugget. Grabbing onto the chicken wrap I bite into it grabbing the rest of the food jumping out of the car. Locking the car behind me as I head towards the house reaching for the door. Twisting it slowly I pray that it somehow opens. Luck not on my side I try to remember what my Dad told me if I forget or lose the master key.

If you find the house locked and you forget or lose the master, look under the dwarf statue. There should be a spare key.

My Dad's voice ringing through my head. I slip my car keys into my pocket looking towards the front garden. A few minutes of me walking around the house I spot a small blue dwarf crafted in a fountain. I walk towards it lifting it up gently and I see a key dangling at the end. I unhook the key walking back to the door unlocking it swiftly.

The door creaked open and I stepped in slipping the key in my pocket. I shut the door behind me looking around the place. The house was dark and everything seemed untouched. I walked into the living room where there was a leather couch which was shaped in an L. There was a coffee table with probably expired lollies. There hanging on the wall was a flat screen TV. The TV took up the whole wall and the keypad for the TV was laying still on the couch.

I grabbed onto the keypad switching the TV on which gave me options. YouTube, Netflix, Putlocker, Sky or the TV channels itself? I clicked on Netflix searching 'On the block', deciding to have a marathon. As 'On the block' started to play I started to finish the rest of my food.

Once my movie marathon was over I didn't realize it was already dark outside. I switched the TV off accidentally bumping into a wall. I tried to find the kitchen but mentally slap myself for not switching the lights on.

You're honestly stupid as fuck

My inner voice nagging me. I rolled my eyes at myself as I felt the wall searching for the lights. Once I finally found the lights I switched it on looking around. I walk into the hallway flicking the lights on. I walk down to the kitchen throwing my rubbish in the bin.

I took a seat near the island taking in everything. I don't know how to feel whether I am happy or sad that I am finally in this house. This is just not a house, it's my Dad's house which is mine now.

When he passed away he gave everything to me like everything. In his will, he signed everything off only for me. There was nothing in the will for my mother and that confused me.

Shaking my head at the thought I walk out of the kitchen making sure to turn off the lights. I walk up through the corridor and I open each room. I find the bathroom, the toilet, 4 rooms and there was one more door left which I slowly opened and I felt myself choke on my own breath.

I looked inside the room walking slowly looking around the room. I could tell by designs and posters on the wall that this room was once my Dad's. I look at his bedside table and there was a teenage picture of him and a pregnant teenage girl both smiling happily together. I was about to pick up the picture but my phone suddenly rang startling me.

"What?!"

I answer, not bothering to look at the Caller ID. The person on the other side sighs in relief before replying.

"Gheez Silver, I was worried if you died or got kidnapped or ran away. I called in to check up on you but Darcy said you haven't returned since your appointment". - Mum

"Well, I'm still alive obviously". - Me

"Well, you should have texted me. I may not live with you but you're still my child. Look at the bloody time Silver, it's late. I don't care where you are but you have school tomorrow, so go home now". - Mum

I glance at my Fitbit and it's 11:59 pm. Shiiiiit, I didn't realize. Time flies by when you have fun they say.

"Okay, I'm coming home now". - Me

I hung up the phone switching off all the lights and closing all the doors before exiting the house, closing the door securely. Grabbing the keys from my pocket I locked the house before I turned my car unlocking it. I slid inside shutting the door. I started the car pulling out of the driveway speeding off into the high way.
