Chapter 3
"Who do you think you are, huh? Fucking emos, thats what you are! Don't come in like you own us or anything!" One of the guys, Sam, i think, shouted. The piercings guy didnt recoil, he just looked more amused. The girls stood up defiantly, probably standing up for their current targets.
Oh no, not again. I crept backwards into the kitchen, trying to avoid hearing what would come next. The shouting only became louder, i heard a crash and a scream. My hands shook as i slunk down the wall of the kitchen. No.. Not again.. Not now. I thought i was over it by now. My eyes started tearing up and i shook uncontrollably, tables and chairs were being thrown, i saw blood. And it all came rushing back, my mom, the vase shattering, his seething anger as the woman stood behind and watched, like this was a show. I placed my head in my hands, sobbing now. Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulders. I shook my head, wheezing loudly, i didn't know what to do anymore.
"Hey. HEY! Snap out of it!" a voice shouted.
I heard myself chanting, "Stop, please. Stop it" The stranger grabbed my hands and looked at me. I didn't want anyone seeing me breakdown, I didn't want anyone to see me in such a mess. I pulled away hard and turned to the side, leaning on the wall.
"G... Go away." i whispered.
Hoping it was just a hallucination. The stranger grabbed my shoulder and shook me. I peeled open my swollen eyes and stared up at the stranger. His blue eyes were filled with worry, a crease at his forehead like he was thinking hard. A cut above his eyebrow, and bruise on his cheek. I realised he was that nosy guy always here, from my school. I didn't want him to see me like this. He and his friends were the ones who caused the fight. I shoved his hands off me, stood up abruptly, causing me to stumble, I walked towards the back door and tried to get away but he pulled me back by the arm.
Despite my tears, I snapped back at him. "What the fuck do you want now?!" Wiping the tears off the sleeve of my uniform.
He furrowed his eyebrows again.
"What's your problem? I just helped you."
I rolled my eyes.
"No shit sherlock, but do I look like I'm in the mood for some storytelling?" I yapped and turned on my heel and stalked off.
When I reached home, I kicked off my shoes and dialed my boss and told her what happened and she called the police. I dropped my phone onto my bed and crashed on top of it. My eyelids started drooping and just as I was about to fall asleep, my phone rang. An unknown number. I scowled, this had better be good, as I picked it up.
"What?!" I barked.
"Tsk, feisty. Now you owe me an explaination." the voice on the other end said. I blinked, where have I heard this vice? Shit. I groaned internally, this day just gets worse and worse.
"Well, firstly how the hell did you get my number, and secondly, why the shit does it concern you?" I asked through clenched teeth
"Hey now, that's a nice vocab there. Although a girl should be more civilised, am I right? " The voice said in a honeyed tone which made me downright sick. What was I? 6? Dude don't take that tone with me.
I sighed, knowing that he wouldn't stop bugging me till he had what he wanted.
"Cut the crap. What do you want, Conner
"Well aren't you an interesting character, Chase. But I have no time for games. You know what I want. Answers." He said in a devilish voice. "So cut to the chase and we and can be done with this." he added on.
I groaned in total frustration.
"No!"
"I think we didn't start off correctly. Do you know who i am? I am Tyler Conner Grey and i can do lots of things you never even want to hear of—"
"Yeah whatever. I really don't give a fuck and you really shouldn't either." I said back venemously and he chuckled.
"I can make your life living hell at school."
"Ho—What makes you so sure i go to your school?"
I challenged feeling a surge of hope. I most definitely did not need this guy haunting me right now.
"Chloe Christina Chase. Top 5th student for overall grades last semester. Best friends: Flynn... Thats it? Flynn? Damn yo—"
I put the phone down, plucked out the wire and fell asleep. How was i going to sit through Tuesday tomorrow? Ugh.

As Mrs Susan continues to drill on the history of some dead guy whose name I can't remember and is not much important for our next test, I wrote down notes from the textbook because I really spent almost of my savings on it. Her talk had caused the students to fall asleep, obviously she did not have our undivided attention but maybe she needed a pair of spectacles cause the whole rolls of students at the front are dead to the world. My thoughts drifted away when I realised that the cafe was closed due to the courtesy of the groups of rebellious teenagers for four more days. The bell rang just as Mrs Susan was about to start a new sentence. Everyone shot up from their tables and was instantly out the classroom door before you could say "Peanut butter jelly"

Flynn arrived a minute after I settled on my table.
"What's up? " He greeted.
"The sky, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hy-"
Flynn held up his hand, indicating me to shush. We grinned at each other before digging in our food. He choked on his first bite of burger before spitting it out, then took a few gulps from the bottle of plain water.
"You still don't realise that the food the school provide is shit, do you?" I chuckled, earning a glare from him.

The warm tears streamed down my cheeks, my nose started to turn bright red. My bottom lip started to quiver as i hugged my pillow tightly. "No..." I whispered. Wiping my eyes fiercely with my sleeve while Harry Potter watched Severus Snape past. I knew he had some secretive shit hidding from the rest. Messing with my feelings with their deaths. The end of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2 came near, I sweared and wailed along to the movie on my laptop. Tears welled up as my favourite childhood ended once more. My supposed-to-be crying session was disrupted by a ringtone. What in the damned world?
