Landry's P.O.V.
As I finally got out from the venue Lauren wasn't behind me anymore. I started to look around but there were people everywhere and she was nowhere to be seen.
"Great, I've lost my best friend in the middle of New York" I thought.
I quickly walked out from the crowd and saw another way. Great a short cut with less people. I walked that way and in between the arena and another house walked down an empty street which I guess were only for cars as there were no sidewalk. All of a sudden my phone beeps so I take it up and sees that it's Lauren who's calling me.
"Lauren? Where are you?" I answerd and said.
"I was just about to ask you the same. I followed the crowd and then you were all gone" She said.
"Well I noticed you being gone and now I don't know were I am" I said.
"Okay well I'm...." Lauren said and all of a sudden she was gone.
"Hello? Lauren?!" I said.
I took my phone from my ear and noticed that the screen was all black. I pressed the start button and up came the symbol that shows that your phone needs to be connected to a charger.
"Seriously! Why did you have to die right now, stupid phone!" I said out loud to myself being really frustrated.
What I didn't noticed was that someone had come out from a backdoor of the arena and now noticed me.
"Uhm... are you okay?" I heard a voice say.
I turned around to see one of the boys from Forver In Your Mind and not just any of them it was Ricky, the one who looked at me during the concert.
"What does it look like? My phone is dead and I have no idea were my friend is" I said and glared at him.
"I see... wait a sec, you were in the front row right? You're really calm for being a fan." He said as he walked over to me.
"Yeah I was and I'm not a fan of you and your band" I said.
"But you were in the crowd and you got really happy after I sang to you" He said and winked.
"Let me tell you one thing. Just because I was in that crowd it doesn't mean that I'm your fan okay. The only reason that I went was because my best friend Lauren loves you guys and I mean it, she's freaking obsessed, and I was just being a good friend. And you didn't make me happy by singing to me, the real reason I got happy and started to actually have a bit fun is because Lauren had the time of her life and I'm always happy when I'm with her." I said confidently.
"Okay okay. I'm sorry. So what's your name?" He said quite surprised. Guess he's not used to a girl rejecting him.
"Landry, and I don't even know why I'm here talking to you when I really need to find my friend somehow" I said and looked at my dead phone which I was still holding.
"Well... do you want to borrow my phone and call her?" He asked.
"That would be a great idea but unfortunately Lauren never answers if it's a number she doesn't recognize." I said as I put my phone in my jacket's pocket.
"Oh... well that's bad... uhm... is there anything else I can do to help you find her or?" He said.
"I don't know.... I literally don't know how to get in contact with her...." I said and sighed before getting an idea. "Wait a sec! I know how to contact her, give me your phone" I continued and stretched out my hand.
"Sure, here you go" He said, unlocked his phone and handed it to me.
I clicked on the instagram app and came right into his account. I then quickly logged him out and logged into my own account.
"What are you doing?" He asked while looking at the phone screen.
"I'm sending her a message on insta direct" I said as I went into our insta direct chat and started typing.
Sorry my phone died. I'll meet you at the train station. I know I'm pretty lost right now but I'll just wave in a taxi and tell them to go to Penn station. I can handle that so don't worry :P I'll see you soon
I pressed send and looked back up at Ricky.
"She'll definiately see this" I said.
"That was a really smart idea actually" He said.
Just then his phone buzzed and Lauren had answered. I read it and it said: Okay, see you there :)
"Thanks for letting me use your phone, Now all I have to do is find a big street and wave in a taxi. It will be really expensive but I'm not taking the risk to take the subway because I'll probably just get lost down there." I said and chuckled as I logged out of my instagram account and gave him his phone back.
"No problem. You know if you don't want to pay for a taxi you can come with us. We're going back to our hotel and could drop you off on the way." He said.
"That's actually a great idea so sure. But it's not because I want to be in a car with you, it's only because I want to spend my money on something better than a taxi ride." I said and smiled.
"Then come on, they are probably waiting for me already" He said and smiled back.
A/N
My first authors note in this book! This chapter was so fun to write. I really enjoy my version of Landry. She's a little inspired by Cyd in this story to be honest 😜 The reason why she's so against Ricky in the beginning is to make the story more exciting but don't worry she won't hate him forever 😉 Anyways hope you guys liked their meeting! And remember that I'd love to hear what you think of the story 😉 Reading comments always makes me happy!
