Chapter 5: Your shaking like a fucking Chihuahua

" Rory why didn't you tell me we were going to am an asylum??" I asked sounding very panicked.

She shrugged." Cause I knew you wouldn't come..."

" And you were right I would not!" I said and turned towards the tunnel leading back to the school. It's dark and who knows who I will run into this late. Plus the darkness has always frightened me. Well whatever is hiding in the dark has. Same thing.

I sighed. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. It may be abandoned and an asylum is just where they kept people who they didn't understand what was wrong of them. In honesty I think it's really because they were scared of them. They don't have asylums anymore. But they have hospitals around here that house people who need to be watched to get better. I guess it's basically like rehab. But there's a difference some argue with.

" please come Mari! It will be so fun!" Rory said holding me by my shoulders.

I sighed and nodded." Okay."

" yes! Alrighty take this!" She handed me a piece of paper." Don't open it just hold onto it." She said and then went and gave everyone else one telling them the same thing.

" how long have you guys been planning this?" I asked Adam, following behind Rory, Anna, and Grace who were at the moment discussing concerts they plan to go to when summer vacation starts. Which is about 4 months away. I didn't even know people could know of concerts this much in advance.

Adam shrugged." Well awhile ago we heard some other students went there for Halloween, instead of going to the dance, and they could not stop talking about it. They said it was a lot of fun." He said with a smile.

" They also said they found a few interesting things there left behind from when the asylum was still up and running." Jackson said." Oh by the way I'm Jackson. I don't believe we have met yet." He said looking at me." You're Mari?" He asked.

I nodded." Yeah. Nice to meet you."

I filched when I felt someone close to my ear.

" boo." Evan said whispering into my ear.

I frowned." I'm not that easily scared you know." I crossed my arms continuing to follow Rory.

He shrugged." I tried. Just wait till you see the asylum." He smirked.

I sighed." An asylum was just used to store people no one understood. There's nothing scary about that."

" Carful my darling, there's a lot to be afraid of when you don't understand something." He winked.

I rolled my eyes as Rory then yelled back to us.

" hey were here Evan stop Flirting!" She groaned and opened the gate to the asylum.

I cautiously walked in. Looking around. There were papers and trash everywhere. It was very dusty with spider webs lining the ceilings and walls. I felt Evan place his hand around my waist.

" if you get scared just come and cuddle with me" he smirked and winked. I frowned and moved away from him.

" okay partners!!" Rory yelled." One boy with one girl!" She stated.

" you have some dirty plans don't you Rory?" Adam laughed.

" shut up! It will just make things exciting." She laughed." Alright everyone pull out the paper I gave you earlier. That's who you'll parter with!"

I looked down my paper. Three.

Then one by one everyone paired the opposite gender that got the same number.

Rory and Adam.

Jackson and Grace.

Jenson and Anna.

Poor little Mari and Evan.

I think now would be a greater time than ever to state the fact that I have run out of all luck.

" alright me and Adam will go in the north ward upstairs, Anna and Jenson will look in the east up ward, Jackson and grace will look in the west up ward, and Evan and Mari will look down here." Rory said assigning all of our places to search. She turned to me with a sad smile before they all went up the staircase.

I sighed and turned to Evan who had the biggest demonic smirk I've ever seen. I rolled my eyes and walked past him down the first hall.

" How nice huh? We both get to search this scary little place together" he said walking right behind me.

" I have a feeling you have something to do with this." I say and continue walking.

" oh shh kit. You know you'd be worried if something happened to me. don't act like you don't care."

I rolled my eyes." I don't care. Your shrouded in mystery and I don't like it therefore the best thing to do is just stay away from you." I said and kept walking. A few seconds past and there was no response. I quickly turned around.

" Evan?" I said and slowly started walking back down the hall." Evan stop being an idiot.... Well more of an idiot."

I quickly looked over into a room as a small crumble of debris fell from a wall. I cautiously walked into the room, I looked around and realized I was actually trembling with fear. I shook my head and walked further into the room when the door slammed behind me.

I screamed from the loud noise and then heard the most annoying laughter of my life. I turned around to see Evan leaning against the closed door laughing his stupid arrogant butt off.

" You jerk!!! Why did you do that?!?!" I yelled at him.

" because it was funny." He said looking over at me. Then he smirked." You were worried about me."

I stared at him confused." No I wasn't."

" yes you were."

" Shut up." I rolled my eyes and walked over to the door." Come on we have to get out and search the hall..." I grabbed the door handle, which was no longer there.

" Evan where's the door handle...."

" what do you mean? " he looked over my shoulder." Oh shit....."

I looked down on the ground to see the door handle on the floor which had probably fallen from when the idiot slammed the door so hard.

I started to slightly shake. I hated being stuck in a small space with no way out. More like I was absolutely terrified I backed away from the door and against the wall. I'm sure I was trembling and shaking like a patient who once lived in this room.

" kit? You okay there? Your shaking like fucking chihuahua..." Evan laughed slightly.

I glared up at him. Then his expression changed completely. He looked at me as of he felt sympathetic for me. I don't know why his expression changed completely. I walked closer to me and I felt slightly scared of what he was going to do.

" Mari.." He said softly.

I stared up at him.

He then gently wrapped his arms around me and whispered.

" It's okay. We will find a way out don't worry.." He said gently.

The way he said also seemed like he cared.

I was too scared to do anything but just stand there as he held me in his arms.
