What The Penguin Did That Stupid Walrus Say?

" Mari...?"
".... Dude is something wrong with her?"
" I don't know... She came into the room and sat down and she's been like that for a while..."
" her face is red and she looks like her head is about to explode from thinking too much...."
" JESUS Christ what the hell did evan do to her? That asshole."
" whoa slow down how do we know if it was Evan."

" UGH WHAT THE PENGUIN DID THAT STUPID WALRUS SAY." I groaned and lied back on my bed and held a pillow to my face.
" ... I TOLD YOU IT WASNT EVAN!" Adam yelled at Rori.
Rori scoffed." How the hell does a Penguin and walrus have anything to do with Mari. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST IDIOT." Rori snapped back at him.
I sat up and stared at both of them. They refrained from further argument and looked at me with concern.
" do you know French?" I asked looking at both of them.
They both shook their head and then Adams eyes widened." Oh shit."
I looked at him confused. Rory did too. He then grabbed my arm and lifted me off the bed over his back.
" me and Mari have to have a little chat. Alone."
" wait what?!" Rory yelled at him in anger" Why can't I come?!" She yells.
Adam walked towards the door and then turned and smirked." You have an essay to complete."
" BUT MARI WAS GOING HE-" she was going to say but was cut off from the door slamming.
He walks out and carried me over his back. Which was awkward and uncomfortable. I really hated being short.
" can you put me down now. I know how to walk Adam." I said plainly.
He chuckled and then let me down.
But did he let me go for good?
Oh no. He grabbed my arm and led me out.
" alright listen closely." He said as he dragged me out to a small courtyard.
I stood confused. And I was tired. So I can't really say that I was all that interested.
" you left with Evan after he got you out of the music closet. Then you came back and your face was red and you wouldn't say anything just sit and think to yourself like some insane person." He said.
I nodded." Yeah..."
" what did he say?" He said.
" I don't know! That's what's irritating me! I don't speak French!!" I sighed.
I'm not sure why it's irritating me to much but the fact that I don't know is really getting on my nerves and I want to know what he said.
" well then...." He smirked." I sense that things will get interesting from now on." He said wth a smug face.
I stared at him confused." Interesting?" I mumbled.
He shook his head." Never mind that. Just something I have to look forward to. Anyway. Did anything else happen withe you and Evan?" He asked.
I felt my face flush red when I thought about it. I could still feel his lips on my cheek. I know it was just a Kiss on a cheek but I have never felt anything that came with the kiss before. I don't know how to describe it. It's just strange.

"Mari, because your face is red im starting to think you and evan did some dirty things up on the roof." Adam chuckled.

I look at him." WHAT?! No!!" I cringed in disgust." Why are you interested in what happened on the roof, though?" I asked.
He sighed." I cant say my reason because I know you will think the wrong thing but to put it sim-" He was cut off from his phone buzzing. He held up his finger to say 'one moment' and then answered the phone.
" What the hell do you want?..... right now?..... I have a slight feeling that when you say emergency you really just need help with some easy ass homework... ugh... whatever Ill be there in a little while... oh shut up youre the one who is late to everything.... Bitch." and with that he hung up the phone. He looked at me and gave me a large smirk.'' sorry Mari I have to help someone out real quick! Bye!" he said as he ran off before I could ask him to stop and come back.
I sighed and held my head in my hand. Today has seriously been emotionaly tiring. Evan is giving me mixed signals. And Adam is just being very secretive. I wouldnt doubt if Rory probably had something to hide too.
My phone started to ring. Then I remembered I had to help Rory with her essay.
I oicked up the the phone to hear Rory about to have a fit about coming back and helping her with her eassy.
I laughed and calmed her down then head back to the room.

I helped Rory with her essay then tried to sleep. But it was hard. I kept thinking about what Evan said. Or rather what he really said. What the heck is he hiding? Why would he say it in a different language? and how come after he said it..
My face began to burn. The way his lips felt agaisnst my skin made me feel something I have never felt before. And I honestly wasnt sure how to describe it. All of this thinking had me up all night. I had no idea what to do the next day. I pretty much dosed off in every class because of how tired I was. And in PE I got hit with a dodge ball counless times. That still didnt wake me up. At least it was friday. I think I'll just sleep this entire weekened. I have nothing else to do. And sleep sounds like it would be paradise right now.
Rory had to stay after school for detenion. Her art teacher threw her in there because Rory started a full on paint fight. She got a hold of condoms and filled them with paint and started throwing them at everyone, then everyone in the class started just spraying paint bottles around. Lots of people were talking about it after school. I kind of wish I would have seen it. It sounded like fun even though anyone who threw a bottle got in trouble.
Rory wasnt going to be back in the room for another 2 hours after school so I figured there wouldnt be harm in taking a short walk to relax myself before taking a weekend long nap.
I walked up to my door and reached into my pocket to take out my key when I saw a small box on the floor in front of my door.
I looked around and didnt see anyone around. Maybe someone dropped it? I reached down and picked it up and examined it. It was a dark blue, with a white ribbon wrapped around it. Tucked into the ribbon was a light blue folded up paper. I know It would be wrong to read it when I didnt even know who it belonged to. But it would also give me a lead to who this belongs to. I slipped out the folded paper and opened up the note.

" Like A Perfect Scene...''
So. Its mine?
I looked around to see if whoever left this for me was wating somewere. This is a bit strange honestly. I looked at the box then back at the note. It really is for me. I quickly opened the door to my room and stepped inside. I threw my bag to the side of the room and sat on the bed not taking my eyes off of the small box.
What could be inside?
" Like a perfect scene?" I whispered. Could it be some one tricking me or trying to hurt me in some way? Oh god. If I open this box what if its some type of bomb? Or something will spray at me and kill me?
I sighed. Calm down, Mari. You wont know until you open the dang box.
I looked at the note once more and placed it into my lap, then slipped off the White ribbon.
I pulled the top off and sitting in the center of white tissue, was a small Green turtle Charm.
" eh?" I picked it up and looked at it cloesly. It was beautiful. But who left this for me? I looked at the note and turned around but there was no other name than mine. It didnt say who it was from. I removed the tissure from the box and still didnt find anything.
I pickwed up the note and read over it again.What could it mean? And who left it for me?
I sighed and laid back on my bed staring at the note. It was typed onto the paper so there was no way of me knowing who left it.
I picked up the box and looked at the small turtle charm. It had a small link at the top, as if to put it around a bracelet. But I dont even have a bracelet to put it through.
I sat up and placed the charm and the note in the box then put it underneath my cloths in the drawer.
Now time to sleep. I can figure out all of this secret gift giver and Evan speaking french tomorrow.
The next day I woke up late. Around noon. Rory did too. She always slept in. I normally woke up a couple hours earlier and go to the cafeteria and got breakfeat for us both. On the weekends you were in charge of your own time to get food. So if you wanted breakfeast you had to be up by 9. Lunch was sold at 1:00 and dinner was sold at 5:00. Of course the school had a small place where you could go and buy snacks throughout the day.
I looked over at Rory who was just barely waking up, she tossed and turned and then looked over.
" Damn you look like crap." she mumbled and rubbeed her eyes.
" Oh thanks. At least I now have had sleep. God I was tired yesterday." I yawned the last part of my sentence.
" I know. Adam told me when we were walking back to the dorms. He wanted to talk to you but when we came into the dorm room you were already passed out and it was only 4:00." she laughed.
I rolled my eyes.'' Again. I was tired. I have an excuse. anyway. What did Adam want to talk about?"
" Well this weekend we wanted to take a trip to the park. Just to hang out. Late tonight, after curfew."
" Jeez. Going to the park that late? Seems a little dangerours."
" Mari, your going to a school full of so called delinquents. Danger is eveywhere." She said as she threw a pillow at me.
I laughed and caught the pillow and tossed the pillow back at her, sitting up in bed." hush get up and get ready so we can go get lunch. Im hungry."
She nodded and rolled out of bed and gathered cloths and heas straight into the bathroom.
Me and Rory had our own little system down in the dorm. She would go into the bathroom and get dressed while I got dressed outside. Then once we were both dressed Id go in and brush my teeth and brush my hair and all that stuff, while she would put on her make up and everything.
" Hey mari, Ive been wondering.." she started.
" what is it?" I asked.
" Why dont you wear make up or anything? I mean not like you need it. But Im just wondering."
" well Im not sure why. I just dont see a reason to wear it. Plus I.. uhm.... I dont even know how to put it on. And it seems like a lot of work to take care of every single morning."
She laughed." Wow Mari there is defintly something up with that funny little brain of yours."
I rolled my eyes, and continued to get ready. We went out and got some lunch then hung around the computer lab awhile. All of the computers have special security that keep it from letting students go onto forbiddin sights. But Rory figured out the password to allow using any website, so we watched Youtube videos, Went on Tumblr and fooled around. It was pretty fun. Then we left back to the dorms.
" Oh wait Mari." Rory said as I stopped walking." Im going to go to the snack shop and pick up a few things for tonight. You go on with out me." she said and ran off in the other direction.
" Oh okay...." I started walking to the dorm on my own. Today was nice. I didnt have any drama with Evan or have Adam interrogating me over what happened on the roof. And with what Evan said.
Forget it.
He said it in french because he didnt want me to know. So its his way of trying frsutrate me and it worked for a short period of time but I will not be tricked by him.
I pulled my key out of pocket and looked at my door to see something on the floor.
No way. It isnt what I think it is, is it?
I rushed over and looked down to see a small, red box, with White ribbon, and a note tucked under the ribbon.
