Finals week. The week everyone has been waiting for. For after this week is Prom and it's our final dance at high school. This theme is called the Last Dance, to represent all our dances throughout our high school year.
High school. It's gone by so quickly. To think I was only starting it a few days ago. After summer, it college. I've talked to Jay about where I want to go but he hasn't said anything, I fear that this will ruin us.
Quinn bumps into the side of my arm playfully. "Ready for exams?"
Jay is at his and so are the rest of the crew. Since mine and Quinn's exam are at the end of the day, by the time I start, everyone else must have finished. I nod with a deep breath and she gives me a small smile before we enter the exam room, suddenly the tension filling the air. Quinn gives me a sly wink before slipping into her seat behind me. I tap the end of my pen gently on the wooden table, nervousness filling my body, fuelling my anxiety.
"You have 2 hours to complete your exam paper. Please, try complete all section and if you can not, please...." Everything the examiner is saying gets blurred out and I can't help but want Jay at this moment.
Suddenly, I see something moving from the corner of my eyes. My head turns a little, discreetly enough for the examiner not to see but enough for me to see what's happening. Then a smile as wide as the sun crosses my face and my heart swoons in joy.
I hear Quinn chuckle and whisper under her breath, "Whipped." but honesty I am too gone to care.
Jay stands on the other side of the door, holding a sign against the clear window saying 'I love you. You can do it!'
I grin at him and mouth back 'I love you' which makes him to smirk at me and wink before walking away.
By the time my attention is off the gesture Jay did, the examiner says. "And you may now being."
Opening the page to the first exam this week, I inhale and think of Jay. I'm doing this for us, is the last thought in my mind before I start the exam.
The bell rings furiously and chairs scrapes back as everyone finishes the exam and tidies their belongings. Quinn and I hand our papers in and leave the room, both exhaling the moment we set foot out the exam room.
"Well, that went well," Quinn says, hooking her arms through mine as we exit the school.
I nod in agreement. "Well I hope it did."
"I know it did," She replies. "I feel it in my bones."
We giggle as we walk up to our friends, Quinn instantly leaving my arms to go to her boyfriend, latching onto him like a starfish. Jay wiggles his eyebrows at me and smirks so I roll my eyes and stuck my tongue out.
"How did it go?"
"Well, I hope." I look around and frown. "Where's Blake and Rose?"
Leo sends me a cheeky grin. "Blake whisked her away after her exam."
I roll my eyes in amusement."He's so gone."
"Well so am I." Jay retorts, kissing me. I wrap my arms around his neck, his firm hands resting on my waist as I gently tug on the back of his hair, making him release a throaty groan, a rush of warmth hitting my core.
