An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries . . . unveiled at last.

While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci—and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle—while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move—the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

(A/N So I decided to write this review because it’s been a long time, since I’ve finished reading the book but I just watched the movie couple of day ago and my opinion is, if you want the story to get to the point. I highly recommend the movie, because *spoiler* in the book there are many other facts that have been stated and I don’t think it’s necessary to tell. And I can say the movie is great because all of the important stuffs that is written in the book is there. So now let’s talk about the book)

-          How well it is written? – 5/5

I love how Dan Brown, wrote his novel, he’s always leaving statements that can give us information that can led you to a wrong conclusion. I love how *spoiler* I thought Fache was the killer because it is stated that he have some connections on Opus Dei and that kind of plot twist that won’t make you stop reading.

-          Plot – 5/5

I like how the plot, knows how to take a risk. Only some of the bravest author in the world can do what Dan Brown did. He opposed with the Catholic church which I can say, one of the most powerful and influential group in the world, but still he can manage to deliver it amazingly even with the context of religion.

-          Character – 4/5

Although the character didn’t appeal to me that much, it’s so astounding that Dan Brown can help us picture Robert Langdon, like him, an adventurer.

-          Description – 4/5

The description didn’t appeal to me that much, specially if for example, I’m not into action or mystery. I will totally not by this, but I assure you there’s more things hide beneath your eye.

Overall Rating: 4/5
