this is a lonnnnngggggg one lol sorry
Calum:
We all set alarms so we could try and beat the girls before they woke up, and I heard all of our alarms go off at the same time. Could've worked better.
I grabbed some shorts and a singlet off the floor and put them on. I put my phone in my pocket and walked out of my room and down the hall to the girls' room
"Morning" I said as Michael leaned against the wall, barely awake and he put on a sleepy smile and I peered into their room. Brianna was asleep but Jesse was sitting on the floor, unpacking some of her things quietly, looking for something. I tapped lightly on the floor and she whipped her head towards us, with a blank expression. She looked like she didn't sleep
"Morning" I said quietly and she nodded and continued to what she was doing. She had a pile of papers on the floor next to her, and Mike and I walked in and she glared at us
"What do you think you're doing?" She asked and we stopped
"Just wanted to chill with you for a bit before breakfast" Mikey shrugged, picking up on my creepin' vibe. She looked at me, with her eyebrows firmly down and sighed heavily and relaxed her face a little
"Fine" She said. She quickly returned to looking for the rest of the papers, and kept stacking them. It was probably already 25 centimeters high
"What exactly are you looking for?" I asked as I pulled at my singlet. She kept her room very warm, and she was in leggings and a sweatshirt
"Papers. They got scattered when I was packing and I need them in order" She said as she continued to uncrumple the papers and we nodded
"Want help?" Mike asked and she shook her head, no. We nodded and sat in silence. She kept the papers upside down, but the black ink was dark enough to see thick writing, and some heavy colored drawings
"Are they drawings? Or writing?" I asked and she didn't answer
"Both" She muttered and came across another stack with a smile and flipped through them quickly and put them on the stack, "Here" She said and handed us some random papers, "You mind putting them all in the correct order? They're numbered at the top" She said, pointing to the cut out numbering from magazines and such. I smiled and Mike and I sorted out the drawings and random poems. Some looked like songs even
"Are these also songs?" Michael asked and she nodded, "Do you sing?" He asked and she nodded again
"I started to learn by playing to covers on YouTube, a lot of yours and stuff. A lot of old songs too" She said and finished the box and set it aside. She went to another box as we sorted out what seemed to be a book. It had parts ripped from it, and heavy cross outs of other sections, "A lot of that is just brain vomit" She chuckled and sat on the bed with us and had a notebook with rings that held the pages, I held onto a page that was covered in intricate flowering on it with block letters with different designs inside. The word wasn't English that it spelt
"What's this word?" I asked, pointing to it and she smiled
"Reveuse" She said, "Dreamer" She smiled and I nodded, smiling too
"That French?" Michael asked and she nodded
"My mother was French, father was from a sailor family of Liverpool. My mother wasn't able to have anymore kids after me, and they just didn't really ever like me that much.. But when I was little, I just have memories of my mother singing me a song, and all I remember from it, is that word" She said and pointed to the page, "I've searched high and low for the song too, of what I can remember and I can't seem to ever figure it out" She said as she questioned her drawing and looked at it as if the answer was in the ink on the paper. She sighed, and slipped the drawing into the clear protector on the face of the notebook and clipped in the organized pages, "Thanks" She smiled and we nodded. She brought the book over to the corner of the room, where it looked like a stack of 10 or more books like it, were
