FLASHBACK – V-Day / Albie and Toff’s Proposal

Sa tagaytay nagspend ng Valentines sina Albie and Kath. Whole day sila doon to try outdoor adventures like horse backridng, zipline and more. They al

so had lunch picnic at peoples park kung saan overlooking ang Taal Lake. Gabi na nung nag yaya si kath na umuwi. Pareho silang nakahiga sa blanket.

Kath: sweetie, it’s late, let’s go?

Albie: not yet… (saka hinawakan ang kamay nito)

Kath: late na and it’s getting cold. (hinubad ni Albie ang jacket na suot saka itinakip sa bare legs ni Kath naka shorts lang kase ito.) what are your plans ba? Are we gonna stay here over night?

Albie: gusto mo ba?

Kath: Che! Siempre hindi… hindi kaya ako nagpaalam kay mom and dad.

Albie: call them, tell the you’ll be spending night with me.

Kath: sweetie naman kase…

Ang totoo, nakapagpaalam na si Albie sa parents ni Kath about his plan of proposing to her. Sinabi na din nito sa kanila na magi stay sila sa Tagaytay, at pumayag na din ang mga ito. Hinihintay lanh niya ang text ng barkada niya if ok na sa nirent nilang place kung saan nito planong magpropose. May resthouse ang barkada niya sa Tagaytay kaya nakiusap ito na kung pwede doon sila magstay. Before 8Pm nagtext na ito telling him na ready na yung place, and yung special dinner na pinahanda niya.

Albie: let’s go sweetie.

Kath: tara.. (inalalayan pa muna siya nito na makatayo, then they walked hand in hand papunta sa car ni Albie)

Kath: sweetie, wrong way…

Albie: no we’re not…

Kath: saan pa ba tayo pupunta?

Albie: we’re having dinner first…

Huminto sila sa tapat ng bahay ng friend ni Albie.

Kath: akala ko ba dinner?

Albie: special dinner… don’t worry. Trust me na lang.

Kath: dapat sinabi mo saken plan mo. (nakasimangot na sabi nito)

Albie: smile sweetie… relax, I don’t bite.. this is a surprise.

Pagpasok nila sa bahay ng friend ni Albie, it was dark inside… he open the lights and a romantic atmosphere awaits them both.. there were ballons all over the places. And in the middle is where the candle light dinner was prepared.

Albie: Happy Valentines Day sweetie. (he handed him a bouquet of red roses)

Kath: thank you. (para naming ang bilis na nawala ng inis nito sa BF niya) di ka talaga nauubusan ng surprises. Pero hindi naman yata bagay yung suot ko sa prinepare mo.

Albie: don’t worry, it fits perfectly.

On that cue, the song “The Way you Look Tonight” played. Nagulat si Kath kung saan galing yun… little did she know that Albie’s friend Butch is there, hiding.

Kath: ang cute! (she said childishly)

Albie: I’m glad you liked it.

Kath: I do a lot!! (she clinged her arms around his neck and kissed him)

Albie: ang bilis non ha.

Kath: haha! Thank you, really!

While having dinner, more romantic songs were playing… after dinner, their song played –All my Life by KC and Jojo.

Albie: will my beautiful date dance with me please?

Kath: (natatawang inabot niya ang kamay niya kay albie, then they were dancing) now this is funny… but sweet.

Albie: di I ever told you how thankful I am of you?

Kath: many times.

Albie: still, thank you, for coming to my life Kath.

Kath: and thanks to you too sweetie.

Albie: and I also want you to know that from this day on, I want to assure you that you’re the only girl I want to have.

Kath: (hindi agad nakapagsalita si kath)

Albie: Kathryn Bernadette Arellano –Aquino, I want to ask you to be mine forever. I want you to be Mrs. Albie Miranda. Sweetie, will you marry me?

Natigilan si Kathryn, She didn’t expect it that soon. Then Albie moved away, grabbed something from his pocket, kneeled and then asked her again.

Albie: Kath, will you be my wife?

Kath: (now tears are falling down her cheeks) yes, I want to marry you, Mr. Albie Miranda. He slipped the ring in her finger and hugged her tight)

Albie: im the happiest man alive, alam mo bay un?

Kath: then I’m the happiest girl alive too. (still in tears, albie wiped it away) thank you sweetie!

Albie: I love you more! (he said jokingly) and before I forgot, we’ll be spending time alone tonight.

Kath: hindi ako nagpaalam.

Albie: I already did. (he kissed her again) don’t worry, your in good hands.

Kristoff prepared a romantic dinner in the rooftop of Vivere hotel. May violinist pa siyang hinire to make it extra special… Cha was blindfolded on their way to the rooftop.

Cha: what with you hon?

Toff: relax honey, im harmless.

Cha: I know. 

Toff: we’re here. 

Toff started to untie her blindfold… to her surprise ang unang nakita niya ang yung inarrange na balloon sa pool area, it says “Honey, will you marry me?” ang tagal bago nakapagsalita ni cha, then he turned around and saw Toff is in his knees, and a diamond ring is waiting for her answer… with out saying a wod, she nodded.

Toff: Miss Charisse Clemente, will you be my wife? Will you marry me?

Cha: yes, Mr. Kristoff Benedict Aquino. I will marry you.

He placed the ring on her finger and hugged her. 

Cha: thank you (she whispered)

Toff: no, thank you. 

He pulled a seat for her and they shared a romantic dinner while the violinist is playing romantic songs. After dinner, they danced and enjoy every moment together.

Cha: I can’t believe Im engaged!

Toff: I’m happy you said yes.

Cha: I should make you feel nervous instead.

Toff: wala ng bawian honey. (and he kissed her)

The next day, Kath and Albie shared the good news to their parents. Toff and Cha were also there.

F: I’m happy that finally my kids found someone to take good care of them.

Albie: thanks tito for entrusting your only daughter to me.

F: I know you will take good care of her as much as we do.

C; so since sabay pa kayong naengage, what’s you’re plan then?

Karl: grabe, ate kuya, twins talaga kayo, pati sa pagiging engage sabay kayo.

Toff: well ganon talaga. Literally, magkadugtong ang pusod namen eh.

C: remember kids, one has to wait for another year before getting married.. Sukob remember.

None of them are willing to wait for another year so both of them decided to have a double wedding. Namanhikan na ang family ni Albie kina Kath, and after that, sila naman ang namanhikan sa family ni Cha. They are all excited for the wedding. Busy ang girls sa wedding details, siempre with the help of their mommy Chesca. Madalas ang girl bonding nila because of that while the guys, Albie Toff and Francis madalas din na magkakasama.
