FRANCIS and CHESCA - ETERNAL LOVE

CHAPTER 6

C: baby? Toff, call the doctor. Gising na ang dad mo.

Toff: huh? sige po, (tumakbo ito palabas ng pinto then pagpasok niya, kasunod na niya ang doctor at ilang nurse, kinukuha nila ang vital signs ni Francis, maya maya pa lumabas sila ulit)

C: anong nararamdaman mo? Gutom ka ba? Ano? May masakit ba sayo?

F: I’m okay. (mahinang sagot nito)

C: akala ko iniwan mo na ko. (umiiyak pa din siya, Francis wiped her tears and never say a word)

Toff: mom, tatawagan ko lang po sila. (her mom nodded. Naiwan itong mag isa kay Francis.)

C: I missed you… (he smiled at her) 

F: I want to make sure you’re okay. (mahinang sabi nito) don’t cry, I can’t leave you like that.

C: then don’t leave. (umiling si Francis. Hinigpitan niya ang hawak sa kamay ni Chesca)

F: be strong, for me… please.

C: I can’t.

F: you can. You’re a strong person chesca. Don’t cry please.

C: not without you.

F: that’s not true… remember, when you were in Cebu, with the twins… kinaya mo dba?

C: iba yun.

F: shhh… it’s the just the same. 

Maya maya, dumating na yung mga anak nila, and their friends, Kevin Ivo and the rest… they we’re all gathered sa room ni Francis. Nagbibiruan pa sila dahel ang tagal daw ng pahinga ni Francis. He just gave them a fake smile, and thanked everyone. Maya maya pa, isa isa ng nagpaalam ang mga ito, babalik na lang daw sila ulit to visit him. he had a chance to talk to Kevin alone.

F: thank you.

Kevin: wala yun, ano ka ba. 

F: Take care of her okay?

Kevin: ano ba naman yan, siempre naman, pamilya ko na din si Chesca, tulad mo, kapatid na din turing ko diyan, simula pa lang noon.

F: thanks Kevin.

Kevin: sige na. babalik na lang ako.

F: sige, I also need to rest.

Pati yung mga bata, umuwi na din muna to rest, si Chesca ang naiwan para bantayan si Francis except for Kristoff. Ayaw siya nitong iwanan, kaya kahet paod at puyat, kasama siya ng mommy niya. Hindi din siya makatulog, dahel ngayong gising si Francis, ayaw niyang matulo, baka bigla siyang kailanganin nito.

F: bat dika pa natutulog?

C: you might just need something.

F: I’ll be fine, don’t worry. You need to rest.

C: sige na magpahinga ka na, I’ll be fine.

F: are you sure you’ll be fine?

C: of course.

F: I love you..

C; I love you too. 

They kissed. It was long and sweet, ang hindi alam ni Chesca, it’ll be the last time she will share that same kiss with him. Francis just wanted to make sure that Chesca would be fine when he finally leaves her. he closed his eyes, and then he was gone. Nagising si Chesca nang marinig niyang tumunog yung monitoring device na nasa tabi niya, at nakaflash ang straight line dito. She thought she was just dreaming, then tumayo si kristoff from the couch.

Toff: mom?

Chesca: Toff, yung doctor tawagin mo dali.

Infront of her, she saw how the doctors tried to revive Francis. Maya maya, andiyan na ulit sila ang mga anak nila. They were all in tears, while praying na sana mairevive ang daddy nila. Then they all heard the doctor said, the time of death. Francis just suffered from his second heart attack while he was sleeping. Napaupo si Chesca, she couldn’t believe what she just heard. Hindi siya makaiyak, hindi din siya makapagsalita. Para siyang yelo na unti unting natutunaw. Hindi niya ala kung papanong nailabas sa kwarto na yun si Francis.
