FRANCIS and CHESCA - ETERNAL LOVE

CHAPTER 2

Last day na ng pagiging “single” nina Kath at Kristoff. Tomorrow will be their big day. Excited, nervous and sad at the same time –yan an nararamdaman ni Kath at Toff. their family decided to spend dinner together as a family – Francis, Chesca Kath, Kristoff and Karl – silang lima lang. Nasa Makati Shang sila for the dinner. 

Francis: when me and mom got married years ago, dito siya nagstay before the day of the wedding. Kase diyan lang kame sa SDSA Parish kinasal.

Karl: really dad? Eh bakit tayo, hindi nag hotel?

Chesca: kase, malapit lang naman ang venue nina ate at kuya sa house. 

Francis: Kath and Toff, my only wish on your wedding day is that your relationship with Albie and Cha lasts forever. Kame ng mommy niyo ang dami na naming pinagdaanan, but until now, kame pa din ang magkasama. Gusto ko kayo din. Toff: make sure to save your family, and understand Cha at all times… lalo pa pag pregnant siya, nakita niyo naman how demanding, fickle minded, and sweet your mom is when she was pregnant with karl dba? Baka mas grabe pa si Cha.

Chesca: ikaw Francisco ako nanaman nakita mo ha.

Francis: I’m just setting an example. Kanino ko pa ba sila icocompare, wala naman akong ibang asawa.

Chesca: ewan ko sayo Francisco.

Francis: see, kids? Yan ang ibig kong sabihin… women are fickle minded by nature, ngayon galit sa inyo, mamaya, maglalambing na yan. Just have wide range of understanding, toff, ok?

Toff: yes dad.

Francis: and as for you Kathryn, dapat intindihin mo din si Albie at all times, especially when he’s tired from work. Hindi pwedeng lalake lagi ang iintindi dapat both of you should understand each toher..

Chesca: pero Kath, when you think na Albie’s hiding something from you, maalarma ka na, ok, I mean, girls instinct remember? 

Francis: uhmm.. stop. Hanggang dun na lang baby.

Chesca: ok. Wala na kong sasabihin. Basta Kathryn, hindi pwedeng oo lang ng oo okay? And pag sinaktan ka niya, call me.

Francis: baby naman. kath, pag may problema kayo ni Albie, make sure to settle everything before you sleep. That’s the best advice your Lolo gave me before I marry your mom. Wag niyong papatagalin yung away niyo ng isang araw, same goes with you toff, and Karl.

Chesca: and be honest, at all time. The key for a successful married life is to be honest, learn to trust, respect and love yur partner always.

Kath: thanks mom, dad. I will keep that in mind, I promise.

After dinner, umuwi na din sila agad, maaga kaseng dadating ang videographer, photographer at ang mag aayos kay Kath… at kay Chesca. Kath will be wearing her mom’s wedding gown. Pinaadjust lang nila sa size ni Kathryn, at pinabago ng konti yung style, but the gown is just the same. And no one deserves to wear it again but her only daughter. Sa room nina Francis at Chesca natulog ang mga bata that night. 

The next day, maagang dumating ang female entourage ni Kathryn sa bahay nina Francis, pati na din ang male entourage ni Kristoff they will have a photo op sa garden after getting their hair and make up done. Kasama sa entourage si karl as Kristoff’s Best Man, Bernice and Philip as secondary sponsors. Also parts of the entourage are Mara and Claire, Beatrice and Vince. Dahel wala namang kapatid na babae si Kathryn, Julia will be her Maid of Honor.

Bago pa matapos si Kathryn na maayusan, pumasok si Francis sa room niya. Nakabihis na ito.

Francis: you really look like your mom honey.
