Chapter 16: Spring Break
Henry's POV:
As I arrive to Alex's house I don't see any cars in her drive-way. I get out of the car and go knock on Alex's door. No answer. I walk over to the tree house and see her in there.
"hey beautiful" I say as she looks up from her phone and smiles
"hey handsome" she says
I climb into the tree house with her.
"I'm home by myself for three days" she explains that her parents went to California to visit her mom's sister "the reason I didn't go is because I have basketball tryouts this week, I'm so nervous about them"
"I'll be there so you won't be nervous" I smile
"pinky promise?" she smiles
"pinky promise" I say

Alex's POV:
By my self......for three days.......alone......how...FUN! no sarcasm! I'm so excited to be home alone, no noise, my tv, my choice of food. But of course my mom has Justin keeping an eye on me, since he's right through the woods.
"well if you need anything call me" Henry said
"I will, I have you Laney and Justin" I smile
"I've got to go, my moms dragging me to go shopping" he says kissing me on the cheek
"bye" we say as he climbs down the ladder
I sit in the tree house by myself for a little while then I get a text from Laney.
Laney: hey gurl hey :)
Me: hey gurl hey :)
Laney: wanna go to the mall?
Me: we gonna stop by bass pro shop?
Laney: yes just for you :)
Me: then when are you coming to get me?
Laney: me and my mom are coming to get you now, we are on your street :)
Me: will be waiting at the end of the driveway
In about 2 minutes we met at the end of her driveway.
"now girls meet me back here in 2 hours, heres some cash, don't spend it all" Laney's mom joked
We were at the mall Laney and I were walking when she saw a store and pulled me into it.
"come on Alex!" she said
"dresses?" I laugh
"of course" she picks up one "I've gotta try this on"
"go ahead" I say
She goes into a dressing room and try's it on. She looks absolutely beautiful. After about half an hour of dress shopping she doesn't get anything. We continue shopping around the mall. We head into Bass Pro Shop which has all country stuff in it. Fishing, hunting, atvs, this is my heaven.
I see two boys looking at us "Laney that boy is checking you out" I joke
"yea right" she laughs as we look at camouflage
"hey" we hear a voice behind us
As we turn around laney says "hey"
"I'm Ray" one of the boys say
"and I'm Jayden" the other says
"I'm Laney and this is Alex" she smiles
"may we treat you guys to lunch?" Jayden smiles
Laney looks at me. Then looks at them.
"sure" laney and I say
Ray and Jayden walk us down to the food court. Laney and I buy our food.
"Laney? Are you gonna eat all that?" I ask her she has 6 pieces of pizza on her plate, I love pizza and I only got 3
"whatever, what do you think about Jayden and Ray?" she asks
"I think Jayden likes you" I say
"yea right" she said
We went and sat down with Ray and Jayden. The whole time Jayden and Laney were looking at each other, smiling and laughing. What would Justin think? Wait, what would Henry think?
"hey Laney can I talk to you a moment?" I say standing up
"uh yea, excuse us" she says following me to the side
I stopped over next to a empty table "Laney, question, what do you think Justin and Henry would say?"
"your right, but we are just having lunch with them and we are all just friends, what could go wrong?" she says
"don't say that?" I joked
"what?" she smiles
"'what could go wrong?'" I smile
"knock on wood" she says as we walk back to the table
